We stayed here as Wyndham members. Well, it didn't cost us many points. Still, of several Wyndham properties we've visited, this is the least attractive, and we won't come again. (Actually, we are told, it is neither owned nor managed anymore by Wyndham,) Beds are hard, decor dated. Really, this is just a strip of condos in a gated community of private residences. It is a good 10 miles from anything, most notably any restaurant including breakfast--and the tiny efficiency kitchenette is quite inadequate, New Bern itself is interesting, but this location is inconvenient to anything except golf, which we don't play. The staff was very nice, what we saw of them. The unit is on a par with, say, a Comfort Inn or Days Resort--strictly 2-star. For a quiet, relaxing getaway, which we were wanting, it was OK--but I'd rather have been in town.

located in a nice area around a lake, yet it is outdated about 30 years. The indoor furnishings need replacing, the ceilings, walls, decks, woodwork are all worn out and look it. Smells old too. Bed linens too simple and cheap. Serious renovations should be in order. Nice and quiet area, but still offers very little for vacationers.

As previous reviews have stated, this property is very outdated and in need of renovations. The property is infested with mosquitos inside and out. You have to drive quite a distance just to get to the grocery store. New Bern town center is also far away.

Condos were very dated. No longer Wyndham property, older furnishings and outside lots of spider webs and bugs. Our condo was over-looking the lake, the turtles were fun to feed and we watched a mama duck with babies the week we were there, cute. The pool area was quite a distance, had to drive there. The pool was very warm and salty, the hot tub was drained. The mini golf cost to play, but the course was nice. Good fitness room. The condo needs to be up-graded and there was a rationing of dishwasher powder ( only 2 packs for the entire week) Nice area, New Bern was nice, good restaurants, nice shopping. We took the trolly ride around town, very interesting, great guys on the tour. Drove over to Cape Lookout, enjoyed seeing the lighthouse, but you had to reserve a spot to even walk up. Never heard of such. All in all the area is very pleasant and low key. Nice vacation.
