My husband and I spent Memorial Day Weekend at this resort - Unit 5062. We brought his parents, and there was ample room for all of us. The condo is on the 2nd story (3d story loft - bedroom w/private bath). It was difficult for his father, who was disabled, to climb up and down the steps, but that was the only negative.
The condo was beautifully decorated in mauves, blues, and pinks. Since the condo was on the 2nd story, it was like being in a tree house. There was a screened in deck w/dining table and an open deck. Lots of windows. The best thing about the condo was the hot tub just off the screened in deck. It was big and sooooo relaxing. There was a nice trail around the lake b/h our condo. There were several docks on the lake. We spent some time on the dock and found a plethora of wildlife, e.g., fish, turtles, ducks (mama and baby ducklings) and canadian geese. The condo was stocked w/all the little things you generally forget, like laundry detergent - there's a stacked washer and dryer off the master bathroom, dish soap, garbage bags. Also, there were 2 bicycles provided in the storage unit off the carport. It was nice being able to ride around the resort area. There's a marina and a restaurant on site. Hamburgers, wings, beer, wine....a solo guitarist played on weekends, which provided a nice ambiance.
My husband used the gym every day. It was adequate, but nothing spectacular. The pool's nice too, but too many kids. Plus, I never saw the kids leave to go to the restroom.
The location was perfect for a base to explore surrounding areas - we visited Beaufort - about 35-45 minute drive. We had lunch on the pier and took a Dolphin Watch boat tour - we saw lots of dolphins. It was spectacular.
I would recommend this resort for folks who just want to relax or want a convenient base from which to explore the surrounding areas.
