We stayed at the Dolphin inn over the weekend, as soon as we walked in the room, the dogs started having a fit. We decided to stay because we have some friends who have stayed there in the past and we visited them and the rooms looked ok. Guess the difference is the oceanfront rooms.....but no ocean rooms were available. Our experience was terrible......other than the dog whining and crying the entire time he was in the room, (we had to buy stress & anxiety medicine for the dog just to get him to stay in the room & sleep) we had ants in the bed, smallest room & shower we have ever seen. There were no tv remotes in room, when I asked for remote at front desk the first night, i was told they would bring me a remote. The next morning, I asked again and they had to go in another room & take a remote to give us. No plugs in the bathroom, no alarm clock, & no phone in room. Not sure if it was due to hurricane earl, but the door to the room was extremely hard to open & close. Not sure what was in the room, but what ever it was my husband & I were constantly sneezing & heads were stuffed up from it. Pool was not clean. Granted you get what you pay for, but I would not pay to stay at the dolphin inn again.
