My wife and stayed at the QI in Mount Airy, NC for a night. We had an upstairs king room in the second building around the back of the hotel. Not a good view, but Very Quiet. Front of the motel has better mountain view, but also the road noise. Small breakfast area for the size of the hotel. Pool was very clean and well used by the guests the day we stayed. Room was dated, but the bedding seemed new. Room was clean. Staff was very nice. Everyone from the cleaning staff, front office and management had time to talk and tell us about the town of Mount Airy and what to see. Would we stay again--yes.

The entire property is in need of a facelift. The grounds are pretty dirty. The pool was empty and uncovered and full of debris. The rooms are tiny with old furnishings. We requested a roll away at reservation but were told on check in they no longer had them. We also reserved 2 queen beds but got a room with 2 full beds. We were told they dont have the queen beds any longer. The toilet and shower are in one tiny room. The TV was very old and we only got 2 or 3 channels. The fridge worked well. Way overpriced for what you receive. Will not stay here again.

Friendly faces and nice clean environment. Room was nice and clean. Only issue was the toilet paper holder was too close to the commode. Allows pets for a small $25 fee. Very worth it and will look forward to staying here again! :)

Room 106 had dirty windows covered with children's fingerprints and faceprints. There were spider webs in every corner of the room and we had to stomp on some spiders and killed one coming down the wall. The wallpaper was dirty and smudged and the ceiling definitely needed painted and had small holes and chrome around the sink was very dirty. I think they need to open the windows all the way when cleaning so that they can see all the things that need to be cleaned in the daylight or turn all the lights on in the room in the evening and they can see for themselfs all the cobwebs and dirty areas. There was no freshness or clean smell to the room at all. Behind the bathroom door was some orange substance running down the door. The cleaning lady looked elderly that was working in the room next to us. Maybe you need new cleaning staff. I don't think I'll be staying there again next time I come to Mt. Airy.
