Trip to Chapel Hill area for a Cheer Competition this weekend and chose to stay here. This was my first trip alone from the Charlotte area where I would have THREE kiddos by myself. Ages 11, 7 and 2!
Location was very GPS friendly and a quick 10-15 minute drive to Chapel Hill. The staff made everything very easy and were very kind to my kids.
The room while it did have outdated looking furniture...it gave it a more B&B (old school/back home appeal). The room was Gi-Normous! It was nice to have a separate sink, frig, microwave section. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows made the nights rest we all got very enjoyable.
We got a room right next to the elevator with no noise issues as you sometimes think, but this may have to do with the fact that there were not that many quests in this season.
The pool and jacuzzi were a nice addition especially with the kids. We ended up staying only in the jacuzzi because the pool while INDOOR did not feel heated at all. The chlorine used smelled a little off to be honest, but it was very relaxing before bed.
The only issue I did have was one of the cards I was given did not work which was a quick fix, but difficult to deal with taking kids up and down the elevator all wet from the pool. They were apologetic and always kind to my kiddos.
The air/heating worked wonderfully. In the morning we were beyond impressed to find the breakfast offered consisted of biscuits/gravy, sausage and several choices of cereal. There was even a station to make waffles with toppings like chocolate chips and such. There was fresh OJ and other juices, milk and coffee station. There were even toasters set up for English muffins, toast and bagels as well. There were plenty of choices and the kids were pleased.
Check out was easy and I felt as a mom of three traveling alone for the weekend very safe!!
