My sister and I checked in despite the rude (and strange) front desk clerk. The surrounding area has little to offer and did not feel to safe. It took awhile to find somewhere decent to have dinner and we eneded up at a Denny's. The food was very good and that was our only good experience during our short time in Morganton.

After dinner we brought our luggage to the room. My sister went to use the bathroom and found the toilet plugged. She called the front desk and was told that she could pick up a plunger if she wanted. She was told that there was no one to call and everyone had to take care of there own toilets. The plunger was discusting and was not clean. Upon closer inspection of our room we found ants, enough dog hair to knit a life-size dog, and an "unknown substance" on the curtain.

As we were packing up the few things we unpacked, my sister noticed a bite mark on my forearm. We could not get out of this flea-bag room fast enough.

The front desk clerk was very rude and would not refund our money. She then called the owner and he told her not to refund our money. We ended up leaving and drove to our next stop.

I still feel buggy! I thought I checked the reviews, they must have been written by the owner. These good reviews could not have been sincere. I learned that the Days Inn motels are all independently owned, I will never trust reviews that cannot be verified.

This is the WORST place I have ever stayed in. We are calling the health department about the deplorable conditions of the Days Inn.

*The work-out consisted of two treadmills.

I was in the last room on the first floor and was awakened at 5:30 in the morning to the TV in the lobby blaring with the desk clerk watching it. I had to go there to ask for it to be turned down because the front desk phone was busy. The clerk slammed the remote down on the table after turning it off. She was rude a couple of other times as well. My bathroom had no corners-they were rounded with dirt.

They charged my card 1000.00 for 6 days!!!! I booked a stay (over the phone) for a nurse working a contract at the local hospital. I was told it would cost $250.00 + tax per week or $878.99 +tax per month ( i have this in writting on my confirmation sheet from them). My nurse was only there for 6 days.... one would think that would fall under the "weekly rate" but when my credit card statement came in.... $1000.00 was charged to me. When i called "Judy" to ask about this charge... I told me, "you were told when you booked the room that it was only a montly rate".. i told her i was told no such thing.... Then she tells me "well its posted on our wall"...UMMM, I BOOKED THIS OVER THE PHONE!!!!!! AND JUDY WASNT THE PERSON I SPOKE TO WHEN I BOOKED IT ANYWAYS!!!!!...1000.00 is alot of money to get ripped off. I told her i house nurse in Morganton all the time, and if she was going to do things like this, id never send another nurse to her hotel again... She said that was fine with her.. this woman was rude, abbrasive and has no problem lying and stealing..

Never felt that i was away from home, it quiet, clean and perfect stay for always.
