I have never been so disappointed in a hotel as I was with the Buccanner Inn. The only reason why I stayed here was for a family wedding and all the other hotels in the area were booked. The rooms were not clean at all. I even wore flip flops in the shower. The staff was not friendly and extremely rude. The pictures that they have posted to advertise their hotel must have been taken atleast 15 years ago. When asked why their pool was not opened they responded with "Do you have $60,000 to fix it? Because that is what it would take to fix it" I would not recommend ever staying here.

My dive club stayed here Aug 11-14, 2010. It's a basic hotel but the rooms were clean, quiet and spacious and it was nice having free wireless internet. The only negatives were the beds were too firm for my taste and the bathtub had mold around some of the grout. It's an older hotel so that's to be expected. The staff was excellent. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and when asked, recommended a restaurant that was really good. The lady that did the continental breakfast was also helpful and very nice, she even opened early so we could eat before our dives. Overall I was pleased with the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

We could not have asked for better service. It was a clean comfortable room. Easy to find and close to everything we needed. The breafast was very good and except for telephone problems,all was excellent. Enjoyed our stay.Will stay there again in the near future.

I went to morehead city my senior yr with my mom dad and my friend steph and her daughter.We first had a hotel at the knights inn and it was terrible..So we were in need of a hotel we stopped at the buccaneer inn and found out it was a pretty cheap hotel.We paid in checked in too our rooms.It was clean and was nice in cool..The staff was wonderful.We also liked it cause it was near a laundry mat,ice cream places in about 10 min away from the atlantic beach!This year my mom asked where we wanted too go on vacation since she got her money from the lawyer that was owed too her in the first place i said was morehead city in too stay at the buccaneer inn.My brothers in my brother g.f agreed we got too rooms for cheap in was there for 5 days we had a blast..Yes the pool was closed but the beach was not but 10 min away..Plenty of places too eat in nice stores..Now my husband as of 1-21-2011 are planning a trip in thinking about heading back down for a couple of days after i have our baby.I love this place in wouldnt change it for the world..I left my laptop ipod in alot of other valuable things in never once did anyone check it..The breakfast was also wonderful..Keep it up guys..
