This was my first visit to the Abbey Inn, and I will definitely be returning. It's a quaint motel situated on a hillside with excellent mountain views. The owners are exceptionally friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay more enjoyable. They can offer tips on places to eat, routes to take for sightseeing and their picks for area attractions. If you like cats, you'll probably get a visit from Tiger. (by the way, he loves cat treats!) This motel is the perfect place to stay for a short weekend, and you'll make many new friends - most guests congregate on the porch during the evening for conversation. I am very pleased that I was introduced to this place, as I plan to make many visits back to it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at this spotless motel. The owners were very welcoming at the end of our day's travel and obviously take much pride and care. The furniture in our room was old but all beautifully matching, there wasn't a mark on the fresh paintwork and the curtains were a pretty touch. The views were beautiful, the garden areas were well tended and we were not bothered by road noise at all. If you're looking for something different for your stay in the Smokies then I would recommend this place.

I have been going going to the Abbey inn for over 9 years, 3 to 4 times a year. Every year they have been very helpful on places to go riding, places to eat, and visit.
The place is allways clean and is very beautiful, plus the view there is amazing. sitting on the walk way and looking at the mountains and the stars. The people you meet there are great, and make long lasting friendships. This place is a place for friends to get together and have fun, Relax and enjoy the sights. i believe eveyone should stay there.

Our family stayed at the Abbey Inn last week and really enjoyed in. There are porches out in front of all of the rooms and we liked sitting out and seeing the beautiful mountain views. The room was very clean and the service was great. We came to the mountains to be IN the mountains - so we really appreciated that the Abbey Inn is literally on a mountainside. Even though the motel is older, there were lots of modern conveniences like internet access and coffee pot in the room.
