I spent abou a half hour writing a glowing review of my 3 night stay this August. When I hit the submit button, it would not submit. I tried to go back and lost everything. So at this point, exhausted, I can only urge you to read my 8/5/09 review and tell you I loved the place every bit as much this time.

We loved the Abbey Inn Motel and would definitely go back! I made the reservations without seeing it and that is a little scary when it is an inexpensive older place but it was everything we could have wanted. It was VERY clean and full of character. There were chairs outside for enjoying the wonderful view, the shower was large and had plenty of hot water. Even the towels were crispy and nice. I would highly recommend this place.

For the past 11 years my friends and I have been traveling through Maggie Valley annually and we always stay at the Abbey Inn. It's relaxing, it has Character (and a great view), and Mike and Natalie Nelson (the owners) are truly wonderful people. The Abbey Inn reminds me of the motor hotels from the 50's and 60's when I was growing up and makes me feel young again. My friends and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Maggie Valley.

For our return visit to the Smoky M ountains we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else but the Abbey Inn. Mike and Natalie are such great folks that they make every one welcome and feeling at home. All the guests are considerate and friendly.
