I have read other reviews. Yes there is a rooster farm across the street but it is part of the charm of this place. Chris and Chrissie know the area and every time we stay there, they always tell us new places to go and see. They are wonderful with pets. They always make us feel welcome and at home. We always stay in Linn Cottage when it is available. It gives us the privacy that we like. I enjoy just sitting on the porch on a quiet afternoon and listening to the sounds of the town around us.

My family stayed here for three nights and were all very pleased. We stayed in a cottage and brought our dog,who also enjoyed the experience. She enjoyed the attention with treats and blankets. Our cottage was very clean and comfortable. There was foods stocked in the refridgerator and breakfast in the dinning room was very good and plentifull. We had the option to eatin with a basket provided. Which was also very good, the filled frenchtoast was excellent. Our kids are teenagers and were also pleased with the experience and we all loved the area and beatufull scenery.
The owners were very friendly and accommodating with usefull ideas for activities. Overall our experience was excellent, everything was very clean with attention to all. Other guests that were there at the same time did not convey any bad experiences and were return guests. We would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice relaxing get away. The furniture was clean and comfortable we found it very satisfying and the whole family enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening relaxing and playing board games.

Don't be fooled by their website. This was one of the worst places I've ever stayed in. The first thing you notice when parking your car is the rooster farm accross the street with hundreds of roosters crowing at all hours of the day and night. Needless to say we did not get any sleep, nor did any of the other guests that stayed the same night we did. There were two other couples staying the same night we did and we all had the same look of discust on our faces in the morning. The room we stayed in was called "The Lin Cove Cottage." The furniture pictured on the website was not what was in the room. It was a two room suite with a sofa bed in the second bedroom and a king size bed in the second room (which turned out to be two twin beds pushed together. The carpet in the room was filthy, the walls were bowed from water damage, the tub/shower combo had beadboard as the surround so it was rotting, plus the bathtub had not been cleaned as it still had hair in it from the last guest. My daughter was supposed to sleep on the sofa bed but it did not have any sheets or pillow. The owner gave us an old quilt that smelled musty for her to use. The couch smelled like dog as did the blanket they had for our dog to use. Needless to say, I did not have my dog sleep on a dirty blanket. My husband found an additional blanket in the closet for my daughter to use and when she opened it up, a bandaid fell out of it and it was full of holes. Also, the closet was stuffed with excess insulation hanging all over. We all ended up sleeping in the king size bed as my daughter was grossed out with the couch. The sheets on the bed were very old and worn. There was a kitchenette but the dishes were marginally clean so we washed everything before using it. The breakfast was terrible. Nothing presented looked appetizing. The owner told my husband that for the second night we were supposed to stay they would not be there in the morning to serve breadfast and would leave a basket of stuff by the door to our cottage! Unfortunatey, we had paid ahead of time for two nights at $150.00/night and could not get our money back since it was a weekend. We left after the first night and had to cut our losses. I was just thankful to get out of that place.
