The woman who runs this very cute B&B clearly should be in another line of work. She doesn't seem to like the fact that people actually stay there. Every simple question is a huge burden to her, and she is continuously rude for no reason. We are very guests and don't make demands whatsoever. When we told her one of the bikes she had to loan was broken and couldn't be used she acted like it was our fault although we never took it off the property. We simply wanted to let her know. Rarely I have encountered someone this rude running a B&B.

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Darlings By The Sea. The view of the ocean from the balcony was spectacular. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast and snacks were delicious and included homemade quiche. The location right on the uncrowded Kure Beach was fabulous. Good restaurants were within walking distance and others within a very short drive. Jim and Dee were pleasant and welcoming. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a perfect place to relax.

We have just returned from a relaxing week at Kure Beach. My husband and I wanted a relaxing week to unwind and chill out. Darlings by the sea was an ideal place for us. Our suite was comfortable with a small kitchen area and a lovely bathroom complete with whirlpool bath. There is a gym on the ground floor which I enjoyed using during our stay. The owners are very friendly and helped us with directions and suggested local restaurants that we might like to try. A basket of breakfast goodies is delivered late each afternoon which we thought was a great idea. We especially enjoyed Jim's home made quiche.

We happened upon it by chance, and we're so glad we decided to stay, and then extend for one more night. Peaceful, clean, lifeguarded beach just a few steps away. Wonderful breakfast basket, including homemade quiche one morning; comfortable balcony to enjoy it; bikes and beach chairs, and (for others) several exercise machines. We dined in, with delicious take-out from a walk-to restaurant. What's not to like. We hope to go back again. The Gabriels were most hospitable.
