I drove to Kitty Hawk Dec. 8 at the last minute. We arrived at Holiday Inn Express at 2 am, very tired and desperate for sleep. We were grunted a greeting by the clerk, who had the telephone in her ear. We waited for her to acknowledge us, she wouldn't. We finally told her we needed a room. She snapped at us that her computer was down and that she had been on the phone over an hour trying to fix it. We asked for a room and were told to go down the street. She said we could not get a room, even tho we said we had cash. She could ring it up when the computer was fixed. She said sorry, no can do. As we left we said that we doubted management would be happy with that and she laughed in our face. I will never walk in a Holiday Inn Express again. We went down the road and found another place who's computer was down but they found a way to register us...the old timey way with pen and paper.
