We stayed here for the OBX half Marathon. It was nice enough for our stay. The front desk clerks were very friendly and gave all of the runners a gift pack for the race. The rooms were a bit dated but clean.

The hotel is located in a quieter area of Kitty Hawk so the traffic is not too bad during the summer. The beach is about a five minute walk from the hotel but you need to cross Virginia Dare Trail.

The rooms are OK but in need of an update. The beds, furniture and flooring are all worn and should be replaced. The TV is an old tube TV which worked but you do not see in many hotels anymore. The bathroom sink is not located in the bathroom but next to the entery door which I personally do not like too much.

The breakfast was very good as was the staff.

There not a lot of hotel options in the area so even though it may not match up well against most Holiday Inn Expresses it is amongst the better hotels here.

I stayed here for 3 nights while in the area for a family wedding. I requested a quiet room, and was given a room on the second floor at the north end of the building. The room met my needs, and was quiet and restful.

The housekeeping staff saw that the room was kept clean and was mindful of my request for privacy when I wanted to sleep-in late. I had a view of the ocean from the bedroom window. I had not expected this, and was pleasantly surprised. It was a nice reminder of the closeness of the hotel to the beach.

I enjoyed Coffee and Pastry each morning which is provided as a courtesy amenity by the hotel to the guests. The pastry was fresh and tasty.

If I visit Kitty Hawk again I would enjoy staying here.

This hotel is a short walk to the ocean and the one of the best restaurants in Kitty Hawk - the black pelican. We had a lovely room on the 2nd floor. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was good and had variety.
