This was not the finest hotel we stayed at during our latest trip but it met our needs absolutely perfectly. The area is grossly overbuilt so nothing would be particularly fine -- but for someone with limited time who would like to see the Atlantic Ocean briefly and visit the Museum of Flight, you can't do better. We had great rooms -- up top with a view of the ocean and beach over the dunes; were directly across the road from the Flight Museum -- and (important to us) a fantastic table for playing bridge in the rooms. The complimentary breakfast was the usual fare but what made it special is the young woman who presided over the dining area. She kept everything tidied up was helpful with the self-service buffet. The desk staff was very pleasant as well. Yes -- the rooms are a little worn -- and the building is no architectural wonder -- but this place is primarily an on-the-water beach destination in the summer. It is not pretending to be The Breakers -- so it was perfectly fine for the off-season price of under $100 per room.
