“speaking of good vacations”

Speaking of good vacations, the Outer Banks Beach Club is a splendid spot to stay for a vacation on the beach. This hotel is in a prime location. It's not too far from the beach. the hotel is close to a lot of great restaurants and many other things to do. Some of the things to do include: golf, shopping, and a movie theater that is close to the hotel. If you’re willing to drive just a little bit, you can go to the flight museum in Kitty Hawk and learn about the Write brothers and the invention and innovation of flight. Another attraction that is a little bit of a drive is the Outer Bank's light houses that sport a great climb of stairs that leads to a super view of the ocean. Most days however, my family and I would spend our time on the white sandy beaches with a good book, a shovel, and swim trunks. Wherever you are in the outer banks you are never far from a lazy day on the beach. When you do come home to your hotel you will be relaxing in a great room with great amenities, and great service.

“Nice resort in a great location!”

Outer Banks Beach Club is at MP 9 in Kill Devil Hills. It's a perfect location. Nothing in the whole Nagshead strip is too far. The theatre is a couple miles one direction, the sand dunes are a couple miles the other direction. There are really good restaurants (Captain Georges, Dare Devils Pizzeria) and a CVS all within walking distance of the resort. We stayed in the Outer Bank Beach Club II which is across the street from the ocean. There's a small indoor pool within the clubhouse. The resort has movies you can check out and books you can borrow. The rooms have plenty of room. The TV is a little small in the bedroom but the one in the living room is bigger. Loved the jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom!! The lady working at the check desk seemed a little put out when we arrived to check in but a gentleman took over for her and he was as nice as could be. Thank goodness or it might have started our vacation off on the wrong foot. For a timeshare, it's not the fanciest one I've ever been to but it was a very nice place.

“Fantastic place!”

We came for New Years Eve, and were very fortunate to have 65 degree weather. We stayed in a 2nd floor oceanfront unit on the oceanfront side, and the view was breathtaking. We were also on a corner unit, so we felt very private. There are two deck areas of the unit, one in front, and one off the bedrooms which was great. Eating breakfast while listening the ocean, watching the pelicans fly by and the dolphins swimming right off our porch was one of my favorite parts. The unit was very well stocked with everything we needed. It was also very spacious. The master bath had two sinks and a large closet separate from the large jacuzzi tub and toilet. It was beautifully updated. The staff was also extremely friendly during the booking process and in person. I can't wait to stay here again, I am even considering buying a time share.

Room Tip: 2nd floor or above has better views, oceanfront is totally worth the extra money

“Great place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

We got a cheap out of season deal and were very impressed by the value. I doubt we could afford this place in summer. The accommodation was very spacious and clean, a nice living area, fully fitted kitchen with full size oven, fridge and dishwasher. Pool / hot tub and the clubhouse all looked good although we didn't have time to use them and there is also apparently access to gym facilities but again we didn't have time to use them. If you are a runner there is good running at the Kitty Hawk National Park. The location is good, literally on the beach, but also only a few minutes by car from the Kitty Hawk memorial. The only slight annoyance was the internet charges of $11 a day, but they were optional so I guess you don't have to pay them.

“Great sunrises and sunsets”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 October 2011

Watching the sun rise over the Atlantic and the sun set in the west from a top floor condo at OBBC II are special experiences not to be missed. The grounds have been meticulously kept for years in spite of salt spray, strong winds and sandy soil. The units are very clean, well maintained and more than adequately equipped. The decor and furniture are replaced on a regular schedule, and it shows. There can be noise from the unit above or the deck upstairs, so a top floor unit is worth booking if possible. The staff are all longtime employees who are super friendly and helpful. Maintenance responds to service calls immediately. We go just out of high season when neither the beach nor the resort is crowded. Free WIFI is available in the clubhouse. If you choose to pay about $30 for WIFI in your unit be aware that the service can be unreliable, particularly on the beach side of a lower unit. It can be frustrating, but hey! You are on vacation. Try to live without it for a few hours! Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the ocean!

Room Tip: Oceanfront on top floor is best in a building with an elevator.
