“Perfect for a trip to someone at Camp Lejeune”

Stayed here this past weekend to see my boyfriend who is training there, after reading reviews i was still a little nervous about staying here alone for a night by myself before he got there, but actually i'd do it again. Staff was accomodating and i very much appreciated they allowed us to check out at 1 on my last day there because my flight didn't leave until late. The room was very clean and i had trouble with my remote to the tv and they were very nice about helping me figure out what was wrong and quick with a solution as well. Location is on a busy intersection but we managed to cross it just fine since we didn't have a vehicle. It is right across from Walmart and has Applebee's in the parking lot pretty much, Texas Roadhouse and Waffle house right across as well. We even walked to the Jacksonville mall from here and many other restuarants! Overall if i came back I'd try to stay here again. Location and staff made it a great trip for a person traveling alone without a vehicle!

Stayed for two nights and had no problem.The noise was minimal and the staff at front desk were very helpful and polite.Did not eat the breakfast, took my Marine to breakfast each morning.The bed was very comfortable,clean.Some out dated items in the room but great for a couple of nights stay.The room had a fridge,microwave,coffe maker. Would reccomend.As far as requesting extra towels, that was no problem.

Room Tip: ask for room in the rear of hotel

“Good value, comfortable, convenient--I already came back!"”

I stayed at the Baymont while visiting a Marine recently back from deployment. I booked a king suite and was very happy with it, especially since there was a suite sale and the price was very reasonable. The big pluses included:
* two complete bathrooms
* comfortable king bed
* "living room" with sofa (sofabed), easy chair, coffee table, flat-screen TV, desk, refrigerator, microwave, and large countertop
* free wireless WiFi

It was nice to be able to visit and eat in the room without being in the bedroom.

Unbeknownst to me after my first visit, I was back in Jacksonville a few days later. I was able to get the same room I had. It was really nice to have the suite space once again. This time the Marine stayed over a couple of nights, sleeping on the sofa. Having two bathrooms really was nice.

I did use the WiFi. It was fine my first stay. During my second stay, I had trouble getting on sometimes. I think the hotel was busier and perhaps it was just in use more.

Service at the front desk was friendly and helpful. They were responsive to any request I had.

The outdoor pool at the hotel is a very nice size and they have lots of pool-side seating/lounging.

I used the washer/dryer available at the hotel. It's nice they have these available.

I did not eat breakfast at the hotel but it is available.

I did not use the workout room that they have.

The hotel's location is convenient to dining (many nearby and Applebee's is next door), shopping (Walmart is within walking distance and a large mall is just down Western), and not too far from CLJ. It is also near several car dealerships if you have car problems. I took a car into the Stevenson Toyota dealership and they were most helpful in getting things done in a short time.

If I go back to Jacksonville, I would definitely stay at the Baymont again.

At one time this was a Hampton Inn but a few years ago it was purchased by the current owners. My difficulties began at check in. The young lady refused to honor my reservation rate, which I had a written confirmation of, explaining that rates change daily in spite of previously agreed upon rates. She was adamant about this and not in a pleasant way and the shear lunacy of her assertion was pathetic at best. The room was reasonably comfortable but worn, and the TV reception was poor. The heater worked fine. Prior to checkout I had to spend time e-mailing the manager of the hotel to deal with the charge problem. It was eventually resolved but I'm still at a loss to explain why hotel reservations would be made if they not only don't guarantee the rate but the dates of stay as well. One more thing. The hotel is located at a major highway intersection and on Fridays and PMs getting into and out of the hotel parking lot is quite a challenge.

Room Tip: Avoid this hotel. There are many others at compreable rates in much better locations. If you must st...
