A highlight was the breakfast and the hospitality of the dining room staff.
Downside is location -- a mile off the interstate. I would choose a hotel closer to I-77 next time, particularly considering the following other downsides.
We had a room booked for four people but there were only three sets of towels in the room. There were stains on the carpet and on the sofa and scuffs on the wall.
It does seem like an excellent business practice to surprise and delight guests with a free upgrade when possible. It was certainly possible on the night we visited -- the hotel was almost empty. But we were not offered an upgrade. The sofa bed was uncomfortable.
Security is good -- they keep the outside doors locked. (Some hotels have locks but don't use them.)
This was an average Residence Inn -- not one of the nicer ones such as at Easton Towne Center in Columbus or near the Capitol in Washington, DC.
