I was in Huntersville for a business trip as well as a chance to catch my breath somewhere less fast-paced than a city. When I entered, I was greeted instantly by the front desk management. I got to know Stevi and Rose while I was there, and they were extremely kind and helpful, always wondering how they could make my stay more comfortable. They quickly checked me in and provided me with keys to my room.
Once in the room, I noticed how cozy it was. It had everything that I could ask for and nothing unnecessary. It wasn't overly luxurious, but at the same time didn't lack any charm. The bed was clean, as was the rest of the room. The bathroom was pretty clean. My room included a small range stove that was clean and functional, as opposed to others that I saw at similar hotels. It also had a huge television, which is a major plus, for me!
There was a small breakfast/food room that had coffee and anything else that someone would want to eat or snack on. The exercise room was immaculate, it shared a space with the laundry room, separated by a wall. Although I didn't have to do my laundry while there, it was good to know that it was available, and was placed somewhere that the noise of the laundry and the noise of any exercise machines wouldn't cause any extreme disturbances. There was no pool area, but in the Winter, it doesn't affect me as much.
The restaurant selection around here was amazing, especially Kabuto! A Japanese Steak and Sushi bar. For those who don't know about this restaurant, it's a hibachi grill, meaning that they cook directly in front of you, which is amazing since you get a great show with a great meal!
I stayed for a period of 5 nights and every moment of it was amazing. Keep in mind that this hotel isn't in a hughe bustling city, which can be a bit strange at first, seeing as the quiet was something to get used to. But, let's be honest, a nice and quiet environment is never a bad thing. The staff quickly got to know me from my frequent comings and goings and by the end of my stay, I can honestly say that I would come back again, without a doubt.
Room Tip: Suites, as a bit more expensive, like $20-$50 more, but it's worth it.
