“Perfect Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We recently visited the Inn for the second time in January for a quick weekend qetaway. Our trip and room last year were so fantastic, we couldn't imagine having a better stay this year. However, our expectations were far exceeded once again. We took advantage of the Winter All-inclusive package, and would highly recommend it. Beautiful, large room with an amazing bathroom and cozy shared amenities. The food and serives were fantastic. Wonderfull weekend!

“One of the best hotels I have encountered”

I booked two nights at the Old Edwards Inn and Spa on a whim. I was traveling through on my way from the Florida panhandle to New England. Situated in a lovely old resort town, the Old Edwards is in the middle of Highlands' small main street. From the moment I checked in until I left, I felt comfortable, welcome and very well-treated. The accommodations are luxurious and the food fantastic. But best of all is the staff. These folks just simply cannot do enough for you. I will return to this gem over and over.

“Wonderful Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

We went and stayed the first part of November. We love staying at historic hotels so were excited to see what was to come. We were greeted with a warm hello and a glass of champagne. We went up to our room and was surprised on how big the room was and the seperate sitting room was great and with free internet! The two bathrooms were gorgeous and the heated floors were a plus! My Husband was sooo impressed with the fitness ctr. First class! You have to try bk-fast in the restaurant , the best EVER!!! This hotel has a great feeling to it! We will surely be back!!

“The Perfect Place for a "Modern Elopement"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Last weekend, we stayed in Spa Suite 20 as part of the Elopement Package. It was perfect! Suite 20 is actually like a private, exquisitely decorated cottage in the midst of the Old Edwards property. It has a romantic feel with not one, but two remote-controlled fireplaces, a king sized curtained bed and a bathtub for two.
We parked the car when checking in on Friday and didn't leave the hotel until checkout on Sunday. We had a great three course meal at Madison's on Friday night, a couples massage on Saturday at the Spa, a small wedding ceremony on the Croquet Lawn on Saturday evening and a private dinner for 12 in the Wine Room later that night. The food both nights was excellent and the service was impeccable. Both Friday and Saturday nights we were lucky to be served by Milton. He's so wonderful you will want to take him home with you!
The Spa amenities were wonderful. Simply as a guest, you are given free use of the mineral whirlpools, the steam room/saunas, special shower rooms and the relaxing "nap room". When you are swaddled in your robe in one of the plush chaises in the "nap room", you will not want to leave! I also had my hair and makeup done in the spa and was pleased with the results.
All weekend, we were very impressed with the attention to detail in every aspect of the property - the suite, room service for breakfast each morning, Madison's, and the Spa. For example, we had rose petals on our table for Friday's dinner, on the bed each night with the turndown service, and on the table in the wine room.
All in all, it was a wonderful weekend. I highly recommend it to anyone and especially to those who want a small, private wedding. The elopement package can't be beat in terms of value and service. We will definitely be returning to Old Edwards in the future!

Room Tip: Spa Suite 20 is great for weddings as it has a large living room which is useful if you have family...

“Best spa hotel in the U.S.”

My husband and I traveled enjoyed a fantastically relaxing four days and three nights at the Inn. Check in was accompanied by a glass of champagne and a great tour of the property. Our room at the Inn was charming and included all of the necessary amenities along with a few special touches like radiant heat in the bathroom and a huge balcony overlooking town.

We ate one breakfast, one lunch and one dinner on the property. All were good but we loved lunch the most. One note if you have food allergies - tell them upon check-in. While I informed our server at each meal I was gluten intolerant, it wasn't until our last meal that the server told us we should have put it on our reservation. Apparently, the pastry chef has gluten-free breads and other specialty items that he prepares for those with this allergy. I wasn't offered any of these items until our last meal - apparently, it's quite new to the staff, so they don't all know about it. Regardless, I had plenty of food options.

On to the spa....we enjoyed several spa treatments during our stay and found them to be top-notch. The spa facilities were also excellent as was the Solarium (great place to relax with a cup of tea and a book).

On Friday and Saturday nights, check out the live entertainment in the Hummingbird Lounge. The singer was quite entertaining with his banter between songs. We were very amused!

As discerning guests who love spa vacations, we give Old Edwards Inn an A+.

p.s. Route 64 to Highlands is a bit scary with its twists and turns. I would suggest making the trip during the day!
