My daughters (16 and 14) and I visited Highlands for a night. I was hoping for a B&B to add to the fun of the weekend, but none would take three people for one night. The Lodge was a nice alternative. The rooms were fine (although the blower-type heating system does not regulate temperature well) - the beds, blankets, and pillows were better than expected. The desk personnel were very nice and the lodge's breakfast area was decorated for a more cozy feel. The breakfast offering was fine, though I'd prefer real coffee cups over styrofoam.
