Convenient access from I-85. Our room with king-sized bed included microwave and frig. It was clean, smoke-free, and bug-free. The A/C worked fine but was a little hard to regulate. Free Wi-Fi took two attempts to connect but otherwise was fine. Continental breakfast included make-your-own waffles, cereals, pastries, coffee, juice, yogurt, etc. The pool was (still) out of service but we knew that ahead of time so it did not affect my rating. The biggest disappointment was the lukewarm shower water. It never got hot enough to be comfortable and eventually ran nearly cold. This is my reason for the rating of 2.

Hard to beat a king room with sofa, microwave, frig and GREAT air conditioning for under $60. In fact the AARP rate was under $55 the week I stayed. Continental breakfast is typical, but the coffee was very good. There is a elevator, which was a big plus.and the internet worked fine. I didn't care that the pool was out of service. All in all a pretty good value for the business traveler used to the more than typical $80 a night rates this summer seems to have created.

Do not stay at this hotel if you can help it. There are plenty of other hotels in the area to choose from. First of all there were ants all over the bathroom sink as soon as we walked in the hotel room. We immediately asked for a new room. The next room we were given was extremely hot, and the "built in the 1970's" air conditioning system in the room could not even cool the room down even when set at full blast. The beds were not very comfortable either. We decided to immediately change hotels, and that was the best decision we could have made the whole trip. We ended up going to the Hampton Inn on main street in High Point, NC, and this was a definite upgrade. The Holiday Inn Express on main street looked really nice, too.
