“Bed Bugs Bites.......not mosquito bites.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2007

This Hotel is the worst. First, my family and I spent our 4th of July weekend there, I had these red little marks on my body, which, I thought they was Mosquito bites. Secondly, I plan another trip for business reason with my family for this past weekend. Once again, I had these little red marks all over my body this time. I showed my husband the red marks, he stated once again it maybe mosquito bites. I told him I find it to be strange, because these look like the same red marks, I had about 2 wks again.

Too make the long story short room 106 have bed bugs. I complained to the manager and he stated to me, how room 106 did have beg bug problems in the past and how they spray some type of chemical to get rid of the problem. My concern is if you knew about this problem before, why are you still renting room 106 to customer.....

By the way, I asked the hotel manager to refund my money, he stated he could only refund 1 night, due to the fact I complained on the day I was leaving the hotel.

My question to this matter is 1. If you knew about room 106 problem, you as the manager should not been renting to customer. 2. If I do not know the difference between bed bugs to mosquito bites, why will I complain. 3. I realized on my last day in hotel more red marks appeared on my neck, on my back, on my buttocks and on my right arm.

The sad thing about this situation as we arrived home, My 3 yr old son and my husband had some on their body too.

This hotel is the worst and I will never stay there again..........

Side affect:

Red small patching looking
Very itching and some maybe painful
Some more may appear thoughout the day

  • Liked — The front desk and the housekeepers were very pleasant people.
  • Disliked — Bed bugs sleeping with me and the manager knew about this problems.

“Spend the extra $10.00 and go somewhere else”

Stayed there Dec. 04, 06. Hotel was clean enough but it was right next to the highway, plus the off ramp. The walls were so thin I could hear the guy next door talk about the toppings on his pizza. The breakfast bar had white bread - white bagel - coffee-juice and instant oatmeal and some very tired looking donuts, plus some cereal. In the morning the traffic noise was so loud I couldn't sleep. I paid $49 a night so I guess you get what you pay for. Got coupon for the hotel from booklet at rest stop.

“Stay Away!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2006

We stayed there last minute because we decided to go to High Point, NC to get some furniture. I made the reservation only a day in advance and was an idiot for not checking Trip Advisor first (we chose it because it was centrally located). It was terrible. The bathroom was very dirty with hair everywhere. The bed was so squeaky, it was impossible to sleep without being woken up everytime you turned over. Then, upon checkout, I was told that the person who had made my reservation the day before was new and quoted me the wrong quote so it was more expensive than I believed it would be. If the stay had been decent, I might not have minded but considering how awful it was, it just made the experience even worse. Save yourself a nightmare and stay somewhere else!

The room was OK. Bathroom needed attention. Mildew on the ceiling and shower curtain. Not what I would expect from a hotel with Day's Inn's 5 sunburst rating. However, you can't beat the price.

“Don't be fooled by the posted pictures”

Apparently the picture they have posted is of the newer building which I believe are suites. That was definitely not the buidling I was in. The structure I was in seems to have been built in the 60's with the corridor running along the outside. If you plan to sleep this isn't the place to stay. You hear everyone opening and closing their cars doors and walking up the stairs. The rooms are a real smell pit. Originally I was put in a smoking room and requested to be moved to a non-smoking room, which still smelled of smoke and even old ---. The carpets probably have not been changed since they opened this motel. The bed was so old and felt like it only had 4 coil springs. I have stayed at Days Inn or 2 stars before, which you don't expect to get top service, but I do expect a clean room and a descent bed. I think that at $50 a night this place is overpriced. Not even Hostels are this displeasing.
