I stayed here with 3 colleagues from work. All of us were disgusted with the state of the hotel. The hallways and lobby looked as though they had not been cleaned or vacuumed in a week. My room had not been vacuumed and the bathroom light would not work. All four rooms we stayed in had water stains and mold. I was booked to stay at another hotel run by this management group in Boone next month. I have changed my reservation. Last trip to Hickory I stayed a the Courtyard Marriott. A bit more expensive but worth every penny.

Room was OK. Blankets had some holes and should be replaced. It would also be nice if they added some type of counter on which microwave could be placed instead of on top of refrig. Info indicated they had a manager's reception Mon-Thurs but it was only done Tues and Wed. The 2 free drinks were nice but the hor d'ouerves could be better. Both nights there were tiny meatballs, chips and dip (seemed like it was salad dressing) and tortilla chips with salsa. One night cheese and crackers (stale crackers) were added but they ran out of cheese. Breakfast was better than most free breakfast at Choice hotels. Eggs, bacon, tater tots, biscuits and gravy, and waffle maker. Baked goods were not very good at all.
