“Cute Bed and Breakfast was perfect for a Mountain Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2011

We traveled to Hendersonville for the weekend to shoot a wedding at the Hendersonville Country Club. Although the guest block for the wedding was at a less expensive hotel, we opted to stay at Echo Mountain Inn to enjoy the atmosphere of a bed and breakfast.

The hotel was close to Hendersonville Country Club and also close to Jump Off Rock, a gorgeous lookout point with a wonderful view of the mountains.

We stayed in the Plum Pretty room and were made to feel at home throughout the duration of our stay. From the freshly baked muffins at the check in desk to the display of snacks available throughout the day, the staff did an excellent job in making the Inn cozy for all that were staying there.

We ended up meeting the owner (and his adorable dog) one evening and he was very nice and friendly. We really enjoyed chatting with him!

The Plum Pretty room was quaint and had a lot of character. It was comfortable and we definitely got a good night's rest while we were there.

The grounds of the Inn are very pretty with lots of flowers and there is a pool as well. It was too cold for us to go in the pool while we were there, but it was still open for those from up North who don't mind a bit of a chill :)

Overall it was a cute place with excellent hospitality.

“Very nice surprise”

As a previous owner of this hotel from quite a few years back, I had no idea of what to expect. Upon arrival, my daughter and I were greated very warmly and offered tea. We were shown to our room, which was extremely clean, bright, and nicely renovated. The hotel has kept the charm which gives it the historic character, but has been updated for comfort. Unlike many renovations of historic building there was not a "gutting" of the original structure, but preservation of the old windows and floors. but The staff was helpful and gracious. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. I look forward to returning!!

“Nice People, Beautiful Scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2008

We loved staying at the echo mountain inn. We were there for just under a week and we wish we could go back already. The staff members were all extremely friendly and accomodating, the room was cozy and the bed was amazing! We loved the views from the inn and on the winding road up to it from downtown Hendersonville. There was plenty to do around the inn, including hiking, biking, shopping, tree gazing, fishing, etc. It was a lovely place and we can't wait to go back.

“Relaxing, quaint inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2008

If you're looking for a chain hotel with cookie cutter rooms, this isn't it. Echo Mountain Inn is different from the staff to the rooms to the view to the stone entrance. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Great breakfast and a staff that really cares if you enjoyed your stay. Each room is decorated in a different motif. The inn is old, but that's part of the charm. If you want perfection, you won't find it here, instead you'll find relaxation and resoration. My wife and I have been here 3 times and will come back every year that we can get reservations.

  • Liked — old world charm
  • Disliked — no king beds available at the time

What a beautiful place! The views were spectacular, the inn was lovely, and the food was fantastic! We had a wonderful, restful time with great shopping, hiking, and scenic byways close at hand. We will most definitely stop there again.
