I brought my son up to visit his father and grandmother. I chose Days Inn because it was the cheapest among the recognized motel/hotel names. Years ago, I had family stay there as well, so I gave it a shot. It IS showing its age, yes, but overall, our room was clean. I did smash two bugs in our room, but being from florida, (we see bugs all the time) I didn't really bother to tell the front desk. The pool has seen better days, but it is still in good condition, and a great way to wear your kids out. The hot water took a while to flow thru the pipes, but I was patient, and just waited a few minutes for a hot shower.
I accidentally left a portable dvd charger in the room when we left, and the staff has been helpful so far in trying to find it.
The only downside, IMO is the smoking rooms being near the non smoking rooms. The people across the hall from us would smoke in the hallways (they are enclosed)... and the smoke would seep into our room. My son has a heart defect/heart condition, and cant be around smoke, so we stuffed a towel under the crack of the door to solve that problem. But, seeing as the hotel can't control people, I'd still recomend a stay at this hotel if you are looking to save money. The other hotels in the area are way overpriced.

My family stayed at this hotel when they came to visit and see the air show. The first night there was NO hot water at all. And the next night not enough hot water. There were bugs and a couple crawled across their feet. When it was mentioned at the front desk, their response was "well we can't spray until you leave." Definitely will not have anyone stay at this hotel again. Will not recommend to anyone at all except to stay away. It makes me think twice before I stay at any days inn anywhere! Horrible room. Horrible service.

I've stayed at the Day's in on a business trip to attend the Cherry Point Air Show. Not only is this hotel placed right next to a local biker bar (nothing against biker's) which makes this place very noisey but also in deperate need of renovation. The wall paper in my room was starting to remove itself off the walls, I had to kill two bugs on the ceiling the first night and the air conditioner is so loud that I could hardly even fall asleep. I would recommend this place for a budget vacation, but with their pricing, you can't even consider that. On top of that the day staff at the receptionist desk was very rude and short so no customer service either. Very disspointed.

Stayed at this Days Inn just for a night to see my marine brother arrive home from Iraq. It was nice to be close to the base, but when I called to inquire about how close, I was cut off and staff seemed irritated that I had even asked. Being I am from PA, I had no idea! Second, when we chacked in, front desk seemed agitated, and with a room full of people, announced our 3 room numbers and exactly how to get there! Talk about safety and privacy!! It was also not the cleanest rooms, and definatley the smallest bathroom I have ever seen. They also dont provide conditioner, which wasnt too bad but annoying since I didnt bring my own assuming they would have it. There was also a noisy bar next door that played loud music until 1 am, not good when you have a 2 year old trying to sleep!! All in all we werent at the hotel too much because of being at Cherry Point, but the time spent there was not good!
