The hosts are warm, welcoming and interesting. Both are artists, and their spacious home is their work of art, literally. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, with a lovely arrangement of fresh flowers in each. There is no shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, etc . in the bathroom - only soap and plenty of towels are provided however. Breakfast? That's what what my family member and I really look forward to when we stay at a B&B. Our hosts told us they provide only a continental breakfast! It was minimal, at best: Coffee was set up to turn on in in the a.m. by a nicely appointed table in one of our rooms, with only flavored coffee mates and sugar substitutes in a basket. There was a bag with 4 little nondescript muffins, and in the small frig in the hall two can of mango juice and two bottles of water, and two bowls of fresh fruit (cantaloupe, honeydew and blackberries). That was it. Let's just say we didn't fall asleep with our mouths watering for breakfast....
My husband son, and I felt like part of the family, instead of guests. The host and hostess went way beyond the call of duty in accomodating us. Firstly, the B&B is beautiful and has been lovingly and creatively restored. Both the host and the hostess are artists and it was obvious in their approach to evertyhing including the colorful and delicious homemade salsa we were served on our arrival. We were also treated to a lovely local wine. Our hosts were so interesting that we couldn't seem to close our conversation. Our son arrived late, meeting us from another city, and he was treated with the same hospitality. Dreamweaver and Joanne ( the hosts) support the local arts and I purchased a small quilt from a current show and a watercolor, that I treasure. The breakfast was a delicious combination of gourmet and southern. All ingredients were very fresh. What really makes this B&B special (and I have stayed in many) was the peacefulness and spirituality of the house and the owners. I came away feeling uplifted and rejuvenated.by their gentle souls!
