We prevouisly stayed at Comfort Suites in Goldsboro several years ago but this recent trip was not the same. The good points were that the breakfast was great and they do have an indoor pool. The bad points were that if you are on the 3rd floor you may have issues with wireless internet. We mentioned at the front desk on several occassions that the internet was not working and it did not get resolved until our 3rd night after asking and asking. The good news is that if this happens to you, Ruby Tuesday next door has free wireless and you can get it from your hotel room if you are facing it.

The fold-out bed we had was broken. Not a big deal since we had our 8 yr old sleep on the couch without the need to make it to a bed. The water pressure is low so showers may take longer. If you are tall like me you will have to bend your neck to fit in the shower. Sorry, life as a 6'7 person is full of perils at times. Also, we were there during Thanksgiving and left the hotel for family @ 10:00 AM and when we returned at night we had no cleaning service. Spoke to the front desk about the issue and he did not seem to really care except to say the cleaning service had a short day. However, I did not know that 10:00 AM was short. Just be careful of staying at this place during the holidays. We did get clean towels at the front desk.

The room itself was average. No flat screen TVs, kinda smells in the room but it is ok for a couple of nights. I will probably try the newer Holiday Inn or Hampton next go round though.

Finally, you will get a 10% discount for AAA members but the price was still too high for the quality.

arrived at 6 pm, no one at the counter to check us in. desk Clerk was apparently "in back" somewhere. The elevator was filthy dirty and stayed that way during our entire stay. Made us winder how housekeeping treated our rooms, laundry, etc. Breakfast: no staff present. Only had cold cereals, hash browns, and sausage. NO eggs no grits. Next morning, no staff around. Whether needed or not., they provide at least some small semblance of security just by their visible presence.

Room was OK but not worth the excessive cost relative to other options in the area for half the cost.

I suspect others who have rated this place are either on staff or related to the staff and trying to stack the deck! The ratings are not realistic and not in line with what we found-not even close.

We stopped here after visiting family on the Outer Banks and Goldsboro. Tried the Hampton first and the front desk staff there was not welcoming so we left. Found the Comfort Suites and were happy from the moment we walked in. Front desk staff was AMAZING. This hotel is the only one in this are with an "indoor" pool although I will say its open on top (screened) and dimly lit so I wouldn't recommend it with kids in a chilly evening.

Computer locked up in the morning so I was welcomed to print my directions for the next leg of my trip from the front desk computer.

HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

One of the nicest looking Comfort Suites exteriors that I've ever seen but showing some wear inside. I believe that the reviews are accurate for the area. The staff is everything that is stated in other reviews. The information about amenities available did not match what actually happened; there was no manager's reception. The check out time is better/later and the breakfast time is longer but doesn't match any printed material that I saw in two different locations.
