The location of this Hampton Inn is amazing. There is an Applebees directly in front of the hotel. Great for late night dinner and drinks. And a Walmart and Target nearby. The room was clean yet it had a musty smell to it. In our room we could hear water from the room upstairs coming down the pipes whenever they showered or used the toilet. Not good when you trying to sleep or sleep in. The breakfast was great with a mixture of cold and hot items. There were even chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon in the lobby.

Overall, it was okay but I wouldn't stay there again.

Room Tip: Do not stay in Room 300. It's a corner room. That's where the plumbing is connected.

“Not a good day for them”

I checked in and was told after receiving my room key, told Internet was down till Tuesday. I was told I could walk over to their sister hotel and use theirs.Not right, if Sister Hotel, why not transfer my room over there?? Went to my room, only to get room key to throw up a yellow light and I could not get in room.Went back to desk, he rekeyed the card, I went back to room with new card, still got a yellow light. Went back down to desk again, told clerk still throwing yellow light, so he gave me another room. Come to find out, room 203 was given to another patron, they freaked out thinking someone was trying to break in their room. Desk clerk didn't seem to care. I'll stay at Sister Hotel which is a Holiday Inn Express next time in area working again.#rd shift desk clerk was nice and started Breakfast at 415am, so was nice to get fresh coffee, yogurt and a bagel before leaving hotel @ 5am for work.

Room Tip: If parked in Handicapped space on right of Hotel, rooms end in 11,09,07...perfect view of cars

I am terribly sorry you had such a bad experience here, and hope you will accept my sincere apologies. There is no excuse for the service as you describe it, and I understand your reluctance to return here. I will discuss your review with the team to emphasize the need for everyone to make sure that every guest is satisfied with every encounter. I hope you will be happy at the Holiday Inn Express the next time you are in Goldsboro.

“Great stay, but. . .”

Room was very nice and clean - the most important things. I must say that I was a little disappointed after reading the great reviews about the staff and their service. Breakfast was good but the lady refilling should know to bring out the new full containers before taking away the almost empty containers. As we were going to be staying over Thanksgiving, I called the Tuesday before that Thursday and asked if the desk clerk knew of any restaurants in the area serving a Thanksgiving Dinner as I was sure most restaurants would be closed. She told me 'no' but she would check into it and be sure to find out. Called the next day and the young man at the desk also did not know and, evidently, the young lady had not checked and left any information for your clients. Upon arriving, asked again and still no one knew of any restaurants being open or serving Thanksgiving dinner. After riding around and searching on our own, we ended up at the Golden Corral in Kinston. Just thought that as this was a holiday this would be pretty basic information for your staff to be able to relay to out-of-towners at check-in. Otherwise, the staff was pleasant. (Oh, and, very disappointed that we could not watch the NFL Thursday nite game.)

This hotel has the nicest staff I have ever encountered at any hotel. They treat you like part of an extended family and not like they are going through the motions. Room was clean, Breakfast was good and any reasonable request was taken care of. From the front desk manager to housekeeping, justa joy to deal with.

“Nice Hotel in Goldsboro NC”

Stayed at this property for business. Room was clean and hotel staff was very helpful. Pet friendly hotel. Good breakfast. Good location with two resturants in walking distance and Walmart across the street. The only negative that was identified, the shower water pressure is very weak.
