Having stayed at a Country Hearth Inn before and being very pleased, I chose this property over nearby competitors. This was a mistake. Old, dirty, lighting that didn't work, nasty carpet and sofa, dirty lot, loud partying until 4 a.m. in the parking lot. If in Goldsboro againg and in need of lodging, I will look elsewhere.

Motel has done great improvement in rooms, and staff. Great new management since last time visit in 2006.

We travel to eastern NC on business at least once a month and sometimes more often. The Quality Inn use to be a regular stay for us while doing business in the Goldsboro area. Due to mismanagement and change of ownership the property had fell is disrepair and the hotel showed lack of interest for it guest/clients. Because of this we wrote the Quality Inn off and changed to another local hotel for better serice and cleaner more well kept property. This was easy to find and we were again back in business with no worries. After a year of so without even thinking about the Quality Inn as an option for our stays while in eastern NC we received a phone call from a pleasant sounding gentleman stating he was the new owner of the Formally Quality Inn and now Country Hearth Inn. He invited us to return with the promise of better service and a on going improvement of the property/grounds and a fair price for a revitalizing hotel. After spending some time with the gentleman on the phone and hearing about the improvments already made and changes to come we said yes. Upon our arrival our room keys were ready and paper work/recipe were in hand and we were off to our room. I must say once we walked through the doors to the courtyard we were in pressed with the smell of fresh flowers, new sod(Grass) and a newly remolded pool and fresh paint all made our return a good start so far. Once at our room we noticed a freshly painted door with new locks. Much better as before we could never get the keys to work it seemed. Once inside the room we noticed a fresh smell that you would expect of a clean room. The room was still a bit dated but this was one of the things the owner said that would be changing soon The bathroom was clean with the standard necessities which in the past had disappeared. This was another small but nice surprise. Room towels were a better quality than in the past. One of the best surprises was the fresh new sheet and other lenis of the room. Rested well each night and one thing that we always enjoyed in the past was the Hot Breakfast buffet each morning. This time it was better than ever Freshly cooked eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, muffins, cereal with mike and juice and the always needed piping hot coffee. Our return to the Quality /Country Hearth Inn was a nice return If things go as promised we will return and we look forward in the continuing improvements of the new hotel. Good luck new owners! Thank you for going over and beyond providing personal service and concern for a ex guest. We will be back.

when i arrived i checked in(no reciept, they said i had to wait 30 min, i said never mind) and the room they gave me wasn't even ready, a man was cleaning it(making the bed) spraying some odor control and some roach spray.... the toliet was nasty and the batteries were dead in the remote..i was shocked since it's been under new magnt. it has went down roaches was crawling all over the walls and bed...i wanted a refund but i just toughed it out.. i wouldn't dvise anyone to stay here, i heard ppl talking and walking all night long...
