This hotel is old but our room was very clean. However stay in the rooms facing the interstate. The older rooms around back had hallways that smelt bad and to me looked abit unsafe. Look for yourself tho. A nice restaurant was next door and gas down street..

We are usually very carefully when booking our hotels but with this one we missed the mark. As soon as we got there and saw all the security cameras and the condition of the parking lot... and some of the people who were in the parking lot... we knew we had made a bad choice. This choice became clear after a phone call woke us the next day about my car being broken into. The police did nothing but give us a 'I'm Sorry,' and to next time make sure we were not in a bad area. So, I would highly recommend that no one stays here because it is not safe. Nor was the room that great. The room smelled, frige and coffee pot did not work, internet was turned on and off, and there was no extra plug ins. So, I recommend the Continental Inn in Charlotte instead.

We chose this motel for the price of a place that would take pets. Next time we'll go for the more expensive motel. The halls hadn't been cleaned for at least days, more probably weeks. The bedding was worn, pillows limp, and there was loud noise in the parking lot right outside our window LATE at night. Next day I developed swollen, painful skin around my eyes which finally led to a doctor's visit. I can't say for sure the situation was caused by the conditions at the motel, but I'd never had the problem before. I really am not picky, but I do want cleanliness. Chose another place to stay.

Very gracious host, very neat and clean rooms, nice breakfast, entirely pleasant stay. Highly recomend if your in the area.
