“GREAT for the PRICE”

I read the reviews BEFORE I reserved the room at Knights Inn-Franklin,NC( #29)-I even called and spoke to the gentleman at the front desk about the negative reviews. IT'S exactly as nice as the PICTURES on the internet. IT'S SUPER CLEAN-a little outdated....SO WHAT/BIG DEAL! For the PRICE and LOCATION-I definately recommend it. They have a daily mini-breakfast=juice(apple or orange)coffee-english muffins and more. If you want a FULL breakfast..there is a really good restaurant across the street with GREAT DEALS and prices($5.50)breakfast specials. Give these two (2)places a try-I stayed 4 nights at Knights Inn-Franklin,NC and I would stay there again. MJL/Massachusetts

Room Tip: Ask questions -the man at the desk will HELP you . I stayed in room #29 I was very satisfied-I did h...

“Enjoyable Stay, a good deal for the money”

We really enjoyed staying at the Knights Inn in Franklin NC. It was quiet, the room was large, the bed was clean and comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water, good water pressure and large clean towels. The staff was friendly, I asked for an extra pillow for the bed ( I like extra pillows so I can sit in bed and work.) and they pulled one out quickly. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room. We noticed there was a coffee maker and that we could have made fresh coffee in the morning. Plus, I like parking close to the room so I do not have to carry my luggage up 1 or 2 flights of stairs. I would definitely stay there again.

“Worst hotel in all of North Carolina”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

I wish I knew where to start on this one, but I don't. This hotel sucks. Not just the appearance, but the attitude of the staff and anything and everything that has anything to do with this hotel is just plain horrible. My wife and I decided to make a last minute trek up to North Carolina for a weekend of recharging our batteries, and spending somemuch needed time together. When we arrived at the hotel around 11:00pm Friday a very scary man in panjamas came to check us in to our room. He had an attitude because I obviously interupted whatever he was doing. He accused me of trying to cheat him out of money by changing my credit card, and for booking online. He wouldn't answer any questions about local attractions, or making the trip to Cherokee. When we got into the room, it was nasty. The carpet was dirty, the bedding was stained up, and the towels looked like they have been in play since 1981. The stains on one of the towels forced my wife and I to use the one good looking towel and that is not saying much. The toilet constantly clogged up, and it took about 3 flushes for it to work. Oh and the shower, if you are a midget who can swim, you should be fine. However, if you are 6'1" and weigh 275lbs with a bad back, it really sucks havingto bend over to take a shower. Then on one of the biggest football Saturdays, my wife and I prepared to tune into ESPN for some highlights, after spending a majority of the day outside of our own private little disaster. NO DICE. They post that ESPN is available, but it isn't there. So I called panjama boy, and he told me that they don't get ESPN. I said it says you do, he said NO! Then hung up on me. What a jerk. I would tell you to pass up on this hotel, with a quickness. This hotel should be condemend, in fact the owners should be arrested for impersonating a hotel. There are several hotels in Franklin and the surrounding area. Sleeping in your car would be a better option than staying at this dump.

“not bad for the price”

Try to stay in a room in the building up top on the ridge (41-51) Away from the road and more private with some nice views of the mountains. More money but worth it, larger rooms with a front door, and sliding glass doors overlooking a lawn and the pool. Very convenient location. A convenience store/gas station that's open 18 hours a day is a short walk . I especially like room 51, it's an end unit with it's own separated parking spot. These rooms up there don't rent a lot so it's nice and quiet.!

“Good Value for a Business Traveler”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 March 2011

I travel by myself on business once a year to Franklin. i stayed 3 nights at the Knights Inn this year and will try it again next year. The Knights Inn is an old-style roadside motel. That means the rooms are large and the bathrooms small. Perfect for a couple or a solo traveler.

Here's what I look for:
- cleanliness: check
- firm mattress: check
- curtains that keep out street light: check
- ventilation system that hums all the time to block out noise: check.
Everything else is gravy.

My room was less than $50 per night and had a small microwave and a fridge; very handy. The TV was fine and even had HBO. The motel's owner/manager has a thick accent but I found him to be professional and friendly; just had to listen a little more closely.

This hotel is a good value. For starters, there are no rooms in or near Franklind for any less money. Those that are the same price are usually missing one of the main components mentioned above.
