“You can do much, much better than this!”

In reading some of the other reviews, I was surprised that no one had mentioned the numerous pimps and hookers working right out of the rooms and the parking lot as if it were their own personal office space. That was the first thing that I noticed. i stayed here for just one night on my way from NJ to Fl, so i really did'nt get to see too much of the area. Every time I looked out the window, i saw at least 4 or 5 different hookers waiting for clients and the clients would pull right into the parking lot to pick them up(I imagine the locals all know what goes on here) and the pimps would be standing up on the second floor watching what was going on! In my part of NJ, this stuff goes on in a lot of our motels as well so its nothing I had'nt seen before, but I would not want my family around that! It was'nt all terrible though, the owners were very nice as has been mentioned before. On the way back, i stayed at Deluxe Inn Fayetteville and payed the same $$ and it was 10 times nicer!!

“Very Poor”

We decided to stop here on our way from Florida to New York and tried to make a reservation online but it didn't work. Luckily they're not very busy at the hotel so we were able to get a room by walk-in.

The staff is friendly and knows the area well. The location is decent with a number of restaurants nearby (pizza, italian, mexican, fast-food chains). The local police appeared to patrol the area at regular intervals.

HOWEVER the room was awful. It was very dusty and had a musty odor. The beds were reasonably comfortable but the dust and odor made it difficult to get a good night's rest before resuming driving. I was sneezing for a full day after leaving the hotel.

Quite disturbingly, many of the electrical outlets in our room were damaged or had loose wires coming from the walls, making the risk for electric shock or even a fire quite high. The multi-plug for the bedside lamps and clock kept falling out of the outlet without even touching the power cords.

Though they advertise a free breakfast, there was nothing available at 7AM. In fact the lobby was locked and we had to call the office and woke up the manager just to check out at 7:15AM. Also the advertised free wireless internet was not working at all.

While some may argue that "you get what you pay for" I have paid much less at other ABVIs and received much nicer, much cleaner rooms with internet and complimentary breakfast (albeit some Eggo Waffles, Cereal, Coffee, and store-bought muffins).

If I have to stay at an ABVI in North Carolina again, I will drive further along I-95 and find another one.

“Don't let the outside fool you, this is a good place to stay.”

This located was booked for us. Two rooms for a week, husband, wife, mother-in-law and a 16 year old female. Upon arrival to this location, we said to each other, "Is this where he booked us to stay?" It did not look like a safe place to stay, but we were so wrong.

The owners are so kind. The cleaning staff are wonderful. The grounds, the rooms and the service was good. This motel is next door to the visitor center, close to everything, it was easy to get around, places to eat within 5 minutes drive. No noise and no litter.

The owner lives on premises and the parking lot is so well lit. Open the curtains and it looks like daylight. Although my daughter and son-in-law are in the in military and now have and apartment close to base, I would stay in this motel again. Do not let the outside fool you, this is a nice place to stay for the price.

“PIG STY”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2009

There are no other words to describe this ABVInn in Fayetteville - A PIG STY. We arrived there and my wife was sick. So I dropped her off at the motel so I could see the Special Ops museum. She called me before I arrived at the museum to come and get her. There were bugs crawling all over the room and white powder piled around the perimeter. You couldn't walk in the neighborhood and there were pan handlers walking up and down the block.. I've stayed in many ABVInns across our Country but this is without a doubt the worst I have ever seen.

We went to the motel clerk to get our money back and she refused. We wrote to the America's Best Value Inns Corporate Headquarters and they were NO HELP>

“The Accommodations were Sufficient and the Hospitality Service was Pleasant.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2009

The service experienced was efficient and comfortable. On the tight budget we had, Americas Best Value Inn was a success. The room was an older one with a distinct older room smell. Everything was clean and in order. The inn's location is within the heart of downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina. Amenities included local museums and many eateries. There was really nothing that I liked least. What I liked best was the very hospitable and interested natures of the owners.
