“Roaches, mystery stains, pile of dirt on bedside table, strange men yelling at you, DO NOT STAY HERE, didn't stay night!”
This was by far the WORST hotel experience EVER in my life. I travel ALOT and have stayed in many places, even a Knights Inn before, but NEVER, none like this. It was the WORST. The room stinked, the carpet was stained as if a dog had p'd and pooped all over it and it was only wiped with a paper towel. The walls had stains of all colors and texture on them. Lots of brown stains that had a 3-d effect to them. The lights didn't work, the gap under the door was large enough that I could stick my cell phone through, or my hand, they only provide you with 2 towels and washcloths that are dingy and thin. The table inbetween the bed hadn't been cleaned obviously in months as well as the room itself, the supposed to be brown table was white with dust. I was in town for some presurgery stuff and thought ok we may just have to tough it out. We went to workout at the Ymca and grab a sandwich, we came back to eat at the room. I sat on one of the beds and sat my sandwich and drink on the table and there came a ROACH...my skin crawled and i begin to see more bugs and roaches and I moved about. I could not sleep here at all. Me and my family packed our things and quickly booked another hotel, the Super 8 in Fayetteville. Unfortunately it put us in a bad spot financially b/c we paid for a 1 night stay in 2 different places b/c the hotel wouldn't give me a refund b/c of me booking through Hotels.com. I was very upset. There were people who lived downstairs from the room we had been given who were very loud and rowdy that made you very nervous. It was me and my sister and our children, the men kept staring at us. When we were running away from the roaches and bugs and mystery stains, 1 hit on me, asking to drive my truck b/c it matched his shirt. The were arguing and threw beer bottles down the stairs we had to come down with our children so there was broken glass and beer on the stairs as we tried to get to our car. There were people constantly coming to this little room below where we stayed in room 217 from this little back walkway. I didn't even feel safe with my car being outside and I've hungout in the projects of Richmond,VA before. This was the worst experience. I don't care if you are down and desperate, DO NOT give them a cents, they will not refund your money, they know the rooms are horrible. So bad that they ONLY give you 10 mins w/in check in to come complain for a refund if you booked through them. Even though I booked through Hotels.com, they still got my money and refused to do anything, insisted I contact them which I will be doing in the morning. When I told the guy I had roaches, bugs and mystery stains, he asked me if I had to have a smoking room when I had at reservation requested non-smoking, so that was another thing. I looked at him and said, I can only imagine the way another room looks and the creatures inside. If one room has roaches I pretty sure the others do too. And I'm sure there isn't any housekeeping here b/c of the amount of dust on the bedside table. I would like a refund is what I told him. He told me to call Hotels.com and took my key back with no problem. This is the worse. I WOULDN'T LET MY DOG STAY HERE! Keep your money and add some too it to stay somewhere else. The Super 8 is a little ways from this location but when we got there at like 10:00 at night it was like walking into a Marriott compared to the where we came from the KnightsInn. Don't do it people. Take my advice when I say, unless you like roaches, dirt, dust, mystery stains, loud crowds of people and someone walking pass your door every 2 secs as if they want to come in DO NOT STAY HERE. I have never really taken time to do these recommendations. But I will comment on this hotel on every website I can find that they list on b/c they are by far the WORST in the WORLD I'm sure, or close to it. I hope I was able to help you avoid the same mistake I did. Don't let the bargain and previous KnigtsInn experiences fool you.
