I'm used to staying at nice, more expensive hotels, but since this was a trip that was not planned or budgeted for, I went with this option. I didn't think about how this price of only $80/night would also attract some less than desirable patrons. From 11:30pm-1:30am, it sounded like someone was dribbling a basketball on our ceiling and running across the floor. I didn't want to be that grouchy person, so I didn't complain. It was clean but everything looks old and worn. The hot breakfast the morning we were there was omelets that I wouldn't have touched with a 10ft pole, the bagels were dry and a few days old, but the cinnamon were tasty. The staff was friendlier than any I've encountered during other hotel stays. They chatted us up every chance they got. I was a little put off for the fact that the staff's tattoos were visable on their arms and the manager had on old, worn out jeans. I won't go back. If I ever have to go back to Elizabeth City again, I'll try somewhere with a higher price tag.
