No, this place isn't the Four Reasons. But if you're in town for the race like I was then i HIGHLY suggest this Days Inn.
As you know, hotels in Martinsville can go up to $400 dollars aroud race time. I was really desperate one time and was actually considering it, and then I thought to myself "Well, why don't I see what else is near there?" And THAT'S when Eden came into place.
First off, it's not far from the track, not at all. You're just a couple of minutes from the NC/VA border, and then the track isn't far off after that.
I mean, it's no Ritz-Carlton, and I never expected that. But it's QUIET, CONVENIENT, CHEAP, and CLEAN. And due to the fact that we were going to the race all day for 2 days and didn't want to do much else, this was perfect. I admit, I was skeptical. There were issues in my head because Days Inn doesn't necessarily have the best reputation, but my fiance' and I inspected the place ourselves, and it was very clean. No frills, not the thickest blankets, but clean. And i'll tell you what- i'll take cheap blankets for $50-$60 a night over OK blankets for $400 a night, ya know?? The area it's in isn't bad, either. There's a Peebles next door, as well as a Burger King. There also appears to be a shopping center across the street, but we didn't get time to go there. Point being is that I felt safe because there didn't appear to be any crime- just a sleepy, little town. We also didn't get time to try the hotel's breakfast, and the pool was closed due to season, but i was happy with everything else. And during race time, that's all that matters. =)
