“Great Budget Hotel Option in Research Triangle”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2010

I've stayed in this Red Roof Inn a few times, when I was traveling to Chapel Hill. If you are looking for a budget option in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area, I'd say it's a good match.

The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, shower was good, and everything was in working order. You get exactly what you are expecting at a reasonable rate.

If you're looking for an "experience" or extra comforts out of hotel, then this is obviously not for you, but if you're just traveling and looking for a place to stay for a night or two that won't cost you a bunch, I'd definitely recommend this Red Roof.

“Comfortable, Convenient, and Great Value”

I'm a student at UNC and recently flew back into North Carolina and needed a place to stay for the night with my mom that had easy access to campus. The Red Roof Inn was the perfect place to stay! My mom had stayed here in the past on a visit and had great things to say. The location is ideal because it's so easy to get to campus and also very conveniently located for I-40 and the RDU airport--plus many restaurants and department stores. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked rooms for graduation in the spring! I highly recommend this hotel.

“Good Budget option near UNC”

This is a low end two star hotel with no breakfast or other amenities. But the rooms are OK and if you book it for under $45 you have one of the better safe bargains in an area with relatively expensive hotels.

“Clean and a great price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2010

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way from New York to Florida. We got there at night and like others have said it is very easy to miss the turn off the busy road into the hotel, we missed it but you can easily turn around and get back to it. The staff member at the front desk was friendly, since we had to leave early the next morning the same person was still working and helped us with directions to a Starbucks nearby. The lobby is clean as was our room. We got a king bed room and the bed was hard but not too bad, pretty comfortable. The room was spotless. The bathroom is small but not too small and very clean. The only things I didn't like were they provided a tiny packet of shampoo which wasn't enough for both of us and no conditioner, and there's no breakfast, but for the great price it wasn't a big deal at all. They are pet friendly and there's no fee, we brought our small dog with us. It's very basic but for a quick stop on a long trip like our stay, it's perfect.

“A little hard to get to, but a good value”

The Red Roof Inn sits right off a busy highway and right off a freeway. We about overshot it a couple of times so it can be a little hard to find the turnoff to go in. However, the hotel is clean, the rooms are decent sized, and you are about halfway between the University of North Carolina and Duke University. For $54.99 a night + tax it was a really nice place.
