I stayed at this hotel when visiting Duke University in December. The hotel had a decent price since we had our dog with us. The hotel facilities itself were ok, but showing its age. Well located next to restaurants and the mall.
My complaints lies with the "breakfast" and the internet connection. The internet is very spotty and only works (slowly) occasionally. This made it difficult as I was trying to plan my trip to Savannah next week and was expecting to enjoy this perk. Also, the supposed breakfast is a bit of a ruse. There was one flavor of muffin, one flavor of danish, one flavor of yogurt, and fruit (brown bananas, waxy apples). The real food you thought you were going to get included in your complimentary breakfast you have to pay for from the restaurant. Bagel 3.50, cereal 4.50!
I was mostly miffed b/c the gentleman at the front desk told me that I could at least get cereal w/o charge, but the women at the bar wanted 4.50 for a single serving box. I never like it when you are misled to booking a hotel b/c of perks that you don't ever really get.
Room Tip: All the rooms open into a center open air lobby. I would recommend a higher room to get above the no...
