“Comfortable Beds”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

We stayed at this hotel only 1 night last weekend. The hotel has been renovated inside, but the layout and the buildings are a bit outdated. It is primarily a hotel for conferences or business people visiting Research Triangle Park Monday to Friday. We got a good rate for Saturday and the hotel was only about quarter full. There are very few stores and restaurants in the area, so we spent most of our time in Chapel Hill and returned to the hotel - just to sleep. I am not sure about the front desk staff. I would have thought that if you see two people checking in, you would automatically issue two keys...no, we had to ask.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in Wing A - if the hotel is not full; or at least park in the lighted area of Wing A.

“Great place to stay and dine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

I had the pleasure to stay at the Radisson RTP this past week----what a wonderful place! Great staff, wonderful food, and excellent room! The food was impeccable---so well prepared and presented........the taste was incredible. The staff was also incredible attending to my needs and requests. My family was quite impressed.

Room Tip: just ask the front desk

“3 star hotel with 3 star service.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011 via mobile

This Radisson has potential but definitely unrealized. The front desk was bland and unfriendly. The room was fairly clean and a good size. Lots of channels and a solid TV! Sleep number beds were nice.

“You can't put 4 star features in a 1 star building and call it a 3 star hotel”

My wife, son and I stayed at the Radisson Research Triange Park after a Virginia Tech football game in Durham. We got a good rate on Priceline, which was the only redeeming quality of this hotel. We should have turned around as soon as we pulled up to the dilapidated, run-down building. The layout of the hotel was strange. It was a series of "Wings" that were not interconnected by interior hallways. You had to go outside to get from wing to wing. Also, the front desk did not tell me that the only elevator to get to the second floor was in the lobby wing. I drove over to my wing and had to lug my bags up a flight of stairs. The features in the room were the same as those you would find in a 3 - 3.5 star Radisson hotel (flat panel TV and Sleep Number Bed), but that was as far as it went. The rest of the room was dated, run down and in some places, simply disgusting. The outlets in the wall were so old and broken that you had to hold the coffee maker plug into the socket while you made coffee, or it would fall out. The fixtures in the bathroom and the lamps in the room were rusting. I think the toilet was the worst part though. My 2 year old son, who is potty training, asked to use the toilet just before we checked out. I took him into the bathroom and as he was climbing up on the toilet, I noticed the urine that was caked all over the seat. We couldn't get out of their fast enough. Do yourself a favor, and stay somewhere else.

Room Tip: I don't think there are any good rooms.
