I have stayed at this hotel several times during trips to Chapel Hill/Durham. The location is great but the hotel is going down hill fast. It seems like they tried to make the hotel appear very modern while sticking to a budget. The locks in the rooms have been broken in several rooms I have stayed in due to the strange design they utilize. The toilets are not secured to the floor. Bedside lights are regularly broken. The front desk is under staffed. The hotel could be sold out and they would only have one person working. I have waited 10 people deep to check in. Additionally, the doors to the bathroom/shower are made out of a fogged glass. This lights the room up like a flashlight if anyone gets up to use the restroom at night. Very annoying if you are not in the room by yourself.

If you are used to staying in low end motels, this hotel might seem like a step up. However, if you frequent Marriott/Hilton properties, the quality is just not there. Stay at the Marriott in the research triangle, the Staybridge suites or the Doubletree. All are around the same price and offer better quality.

My teenager said it best- most incredible hotel we have stayed in. We use Marriot most often but also the hilton line and best western. This hotel wins. Its clean, very comfortable (best beds and pillows ever). Has all the amenities. We loved having the toilet separate from shower area so that different people could use them at the same time. The desk and lounging area were set up well and the tv could be viewed from sofa or bedroom but not both ( not a big deal). breakfast buffet was hot and had healthy options too including lots of fresh fruit. Service was great, front desk welcoming and nice. Location was perfect for us- halfway between Duke and UNC.

We didnt use the workout room or pool but they appeared to be adequate.

Its not a resort, we didnt expect that. But its comfortable, clean, well set up, and well priced. Location was perfect for our needs.

Most reviews I read were great and this hotel did not disappoint. The few that had complaints are not lying (breakfast dining area is small, can't view tv from sofa and beds at same time), but i would focus on the positives here because we have stayed at many hotels over the past few years and We rate this at the top).

When we return to this area, this is where we want to stay. However with such great reviews, it may be hard to book a room!

the place was exceptional and the staff . I have to be there for treatment at Duke hospital and they made that easier but having the quality of service excellant.

Loved the layout of the 2 queen/sofabed suite! It was spacious with plenty of room for the family. Really liked how the bathroom was divided into two separate rooms; one with a toilet and sink and the other with the shower and a sink. This layout works well for families. Will definitely stay here again when in the area!
