“Probably would not have gone had I known...”

Pretty house! Something there stimulated my allergies horribly and I sneezed and sniffled the whole time. The traffic noise from trucks going through the nearby intersection was terrible. We got pancakes and grapefruit for breakfast. We could have had a nicer breakfast in the diner at the corner. Do not go if you ever get sinus allergy problems.

“Like Staying With Family”

My wife and I have just returned from a trip to western NC, and I couldn't wait to recommend the Squire Watkins Inn. Emma and Tom, the property owners, have given great attention to all the details of good, old fashioned Southern hospitality. That means more than just a warm welcome--it extends to fresh flowers in the room, hand-stitched quilts on the bed, and some of the richest breakfasts you'll ever eat. Everything was perfect for a relaxing, let's-escape-our-daily-grind vacation. Once you visit, you'll know exactly why staying there is like staying with family.

“A wonderful trip, a wonderful place to stay”

My fiance and I had seen excellent reviews for the Squire Watkins, and decided to stay there on our recent trip to North Carolina. We were not disappointed! The inn is a beautiful and lovingly-restored old home. The atmosphere is relaxed...you can have as much privacy as you want and Emma is a fabulous hostess. Breakfasts were delicious and our room was very comfortable. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to the area. After all, the Squire holds a special place in our hearts...my fiance proposed to me on the upstairs balcony while we were there!

“Wonderful place to stay.”

My fiance' and I just returned from a trip to Dillsboro, NC where we stumbled upon the Squire Watkins Inn. We definitely plan to stay there again!! The atmosphere is so much like home and the innkeepers are absolutely the nicest, most downhome people you will ever meet. The rooms are beautiful.....private baths with thick towels, fresh flowers in your room, full breakfast (scrumptious I'm sure, though we had to leave before breakfast), a garden, and just a short walk to quaint little shops and more delicious food.
Highly recommended....you will not be disappointed!!
