“Nice change from chain hotels”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

Very friendly staff. Historic B&B in 100+ year old building. Room was large but a little worn however it is a great value for the price. Bathroom was small but to be expected for the price and age of the building. Room on street side of the hotel was kind of noisy but not unbearable. No TV in rooms but one is in a shared living room area (great chance to catch up on some quite reading). Average breakfast comes with the room..better than most chain hotels however. Resturant serves family style lunch and dinners but we did not try them on this trip. Judging from the number of folks waiting for tables during dinner the meals must be pretty good. This was our second stay in the past year and would recommend it to others traveling in the area. Courtyard rooms are more modern and roomy and are all ground level entry.

“Great Home Cookin'”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

We didn't stay at the Jarrett House, but did have the opportunity to have lunch. It was AMAZING! Large portions, well cooked/seasoned, fast service! We had a fabulous server! She had a sense of humor and was quick and efficient. I can't wait to go back!

“Grandma's house...but better!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

Stayed here after a recent trip to Cherokee, NC. Very quiet, very clean, had a wonderful night's sleep. My husband and I loved the complimentary breakfast...not for those on a low-fat or low-carb diet!

If you need all of the modern amenities, this is not for you. Space is limited in the bathroom, and the in-room mirrors are small. No in-room tv's (hooray!) However, the house is charming, and the hosts are very nice. Dillsboro is an adorable little town to explore for an hour or two.

I look forward to my next stay!

“Nice B&B - Jarrett House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

My wife and I celebrated our 33rd anniversary in the North Carolina mountains this weekend. We spent Saturday evening at the Jarrett House. The people there were very friendly and eager to help in any way. Yes, it's an old structure (built in the 1800's), but it does have that old time charm that is neat to experience, if you're used to modern day hotels. I'd recommend this B&B to anyone looking to spend a quiet evening in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains.

“perfect mountain getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

My wife and I love the Jarrett House. It is what it is: a historic inn; do not expect a modern hotel. Since the hotel was built before the turn of the century, it had to be adapted to modern plumbing needs, so don't be put off by the visible pipes on the ceilings. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and furnished with beautiful antiques, artwork, and floral arrangements. The charming, old-fashioned bathrooms are stocked with luxurious amenities. The inn is family owned and operated, and you feel the warmth immediately when you walk in. The restaurant serves wonderful Southern food; the service is prompt and gracious. There are relaxing porches with rocking chairs to sit and view the mountains.

Room Tip: The owners will give you several keys and you can pick your own room. Most rooms have a double bed...
