This hotel charges $1.41 cents a day for the access to the safe in your room whether you use it or not.
I was willing to accept the older room furnishings.
The slightly musty room.
The toilet that rocked like a ship in a storm when I used it.
The door that required me to literally slam down the handle to open it each time I wanted to enter the room.
The antiquated heat system that was as either too hot or too cold.
The TV remote that would only channel down not up.
The mediocre continental breakfast (juice machine said orange juice but it tasted like Sunny D not OJ) with the worst coffee I have ever had.
Because my stay was quiet and the hotel was central to my business needs and a room with a work desk was only $63.99 a night with associated room taxes because I was staying 3 days in a row to get a discount.
What I refuse to overlook is that at checkout the hotel added a $1.41 charge per day for the access to the safe in my room that I never used. They eventually did remove the charge but informed me that they would not be able to do this on any future visits to the hotel.
If you are considering this hotel JUST SAY NO. Any hotel that shoves useless access charges like this onto a bill is likely to do just about anything.
There were two signs prominently placed in the room about what items are in each room such as the number of hand towels, sheets, comforters and other things like clock radio and coffee maker. As well as what the charge is if any are missing from the room when you check out.
I made sure all items were in the room when I checked in and they were all there when I checked out but I would not put it past this place to charge my Credit Card for something being missing simply because they want to suck a few more dollars out of me.
I will NEVER stay here again. Period.
