This was a one night stop-over for us while traveling. I made my reservations online using the choicehotels.com website. I have stayed at many comfort inns, so I expected this one to be similar to the others. Location was just off I-85, but as we arrived during a Friday afternoon, rush hour traffic was dreadful. I soon realized that the hotel was easily accessible by turning right at the end of the ramp, instead of having to cross lanes toward the Concord Mills Mall traffic. There are several restaurants in the area of the hotel, so you don't have to venture back out into the traffic. Traffic eventually clears up a bit, and the Concord Mills Mall is great for shopping. There is a NASCAR track, "Charlotte Motor Speedway" just down the road from the hotel.

The hotel appeared clean and had ample parking spaces at the front entrance. Check-in was smooth, although there was a chlorine odor coming from the indoor pool, which is close to the lobby. Our room was large enough and clean. Beds were comfortable. I have stayed at the "Sleep Inn" across the street from this hotel. This hotel is much better, although a little more expensive. The continenal breakfast didn't appeal to me, so we opted for McDonald's across the street on our way out.

Overall, this was a good stay. I would stay here again, when traveling through this area.

This is a great hotel, with clean rooms, good breakfast, and polite employees. It is in a good location for racing fans and is close to all the local attractions they could want to visit. It is also within waling distance of many dining establishments; some of which offer discounts if they know you are staying at this hotel. The only complaint was the pool which was too cold to consider swimming in and a workout room too hot to workout in. Hopefully these issues are resolved because we would like to return here on our next visit.

Upon checking in we was told that Pool heater was not working..wich was a disapointment to our 2 little girls who wanted to swim..clerk said we could try it so we let girls swim in Lake temp. water..Pool doors are Rusty and in need of repairs bad...then upon getting key we had to wait in hall with our luggage as maintance was fixing door frame to our room..room was clean so we settled in but after returning from dinner our door was ajar?? after showers my friend hit her foot on huge metal piece sticking out of bed frame...nice breakfast..but staff not very friendly..Choice Hotels needs to visit this property and do upgrades before we would stay here again..so overall Dissapointed!

Hotel is in a "busy" area and apparently in need of many repairs as well as painting, cleaning and a few other necessities before I would call it a Comfort Suites property. Upon check-in we discovered that the side and rear doors, located next to the parking area, both had signs which read, "We are sorry but this door is broken, please use the front or side doors to enter and exit the hotel". Apparently when they made the side only the rear door was broken and the side doors still worked, however they should have made a new sign when the side door broke. The next stop was our room, which was sorely outdated and in need of a paint job. The toilet seat had a nice brownish-yellow stain surrounding the inner circle of the lid and as I attempted to clean this area it did come off with portions of the seat. What a few nice surprises! Good thing we didn't bring the kids as my wife located glass shards on the floor next to the bed as we were retiring for the evening. We definitely would not have stayed, except the bed was actually somewhat comfortable and no bugs "appeared" to be present. It was not bad for the price we paid (with a discount) but we just stayed in a choice property in gainesville a few weeks ago and for $8 more I would have driven all the way to gainesville and enjoyed a much better environment and much cleaner room.
