My husband and I stayed here for the races, and the outside of the hotel looked kinda dingy. The gentleman was helpful, and allowed us to check in early. The room was clean and comfterable. The a/c was AMAZING!! The pool was very clean. My only complaint was housekeeping did not give us clean towels. We had to ask for them. But whatever, it was a really good rate for that specific weekend. I would stay there again.

This is an older property that has gone from a Super 8 to the Speedway Inn to Howard Johnson's The sign still says Speedway Inn.

Unlike most other motels, this one does accomodate room preferences based on when you made your reservation rather than what's available when you check in. While I requested a ground floor room on the website reservation, and there were many still unoccupied when I checked in, they were held for people who had reserved early.

Stairwells are very narrow. Room door was sticky and fussy about latching where the deadbolt would work. The bathroom had dead ants all over the floor along the walls. Upon first use both tub and sink water were rusty. The tub barely drained leaving me up to my calves in water taking a shower. I saw a mouse run from one of the outside electrical boxes into the maintenence room as I walked to my car the first morning.

In contrast to the general unpleasantness of the property, the front desk clerk was very helpful, going out of her way to help the dog show attendees find the easiest way to the show site.

Given the issues with the facilities I doubt that I would stay at this property again. Definately not a good value in my book.

I was a little leary of staying at a Super 8, as I wasn't quite sure how nice it would be. This motel was very nice though. The place was very clean, but could use some cosmetic work with painting and so forth. The breakfast was ok, but plentiful. There is a pool that was clean and fun to use, but not too many lounge chairs. There is a weight room that has some good equipment for guest's use. The front desk staff was super friendly and very helpful with directions, etc. They really stressed security and to call them with any concerns. They are right off I-85, so I'm sure they are concerned about safety. The room was clean, and there was plenty of hot water, towels, etc. Nothing fancy with shampoo, etc. but was adequate. The site is very accessible to I-85, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby, an outlet mall a couple of exits down the road, plus lots of NASCAR things if you're into that. It was a pleasant surprise to stay at a clean, safe, cheap place. I was impressed with my first visit to a Super 8 motel!

The motel is older but clean.
The rooms were especially clean-better than some expensive hotels.
It is right off I-85 but far enough to not be bothered by traffic noise. However, there are train tracks across the street which can be noisy.
Lots of restaurants near by and only 9 miles from the Concord Mills mall.
