This is not the newest hotel-- but it is extremely clean and very comfortable. Southern hospitality and true pride in doing a great job. Nice breakfast, great staff. A little oasis after many days of travel

Traveling with my company we stayed at the holiday inn express in Clemmons, NC. Great property, staff, and the breakfast!!

This Holiday Inn Express is in need of some definite capital improvement and has evidence of deferred maintenance.

Ceilings on both floors were in bad states of repair. At the front desk, work was supposedly in progress on a major part of the ceiling. What appeared to be water stains were in areas where work was not being done. The second floor had bowed out spots in the ceiling where water damage had occurred but had been ignored. And there was actually a spot in the ceiling where there was a hole approximately six inches across and the width of the hall.

The room was clean, but the furnishing were dated. The bathroom needs some serious maintenance as the caulking was cracked and the drain was not attached.

The cracks and holes in the walls had only been painted over - not repaired. The luggage cart was old and wobbly.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express in Clemmons for about 8 hours. The bed is very firm and pretty uncomfortable if you have to share it with someone. We both woke up very stiff and not particularly well rested. They have free hot breakfast in the morning but nothing is fresh/not frozen/not in a heater for hours. We went to the Panera across the street. The staff at check-in and check-out were really nice and the room was clean and quiet. I'd recommend it to someone only if they need a place to sleep for a few hours but not for an extended stay. For $72.99/night it was worth it.
