I happened to stop by due to inclement weather. Good thing I didn't read reviews here ahead of time. We were pleasantly surprised when walked in their remodeled room, laminate floor, fresh new paint, brand new vanity bath tub (though I think they repainted them only). I was not expecting such a modern room for under $50 we paid. Front Desk lady was extremely nice and new management is trying vary hard.

They have security guard all night and did not notice anything that previous reviewers noted here - definitely worth the money and will stay here again...

It was not clean at all. Our toilet had mold growing in it and their were some questionable stains on the beds. A police officer followed us into the hotel parking lot when we came back from going out that night and informed us that it was not a safe place to stay. She told us that drug activity and prostitution happened there alot. We could not get our money back, and we switched to a Marriot at 1:30 in the morning because we were terrified.

The Motel 6 offers great comfort, clean rooms, for a price that cannot be beat. The motel is close to uptown, shopping, and the airport. It is very centrally located and the people working over there are very friendly and hospitable. They catered to my every needs and I will highly recommend the place to everybody.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Motel 6. The new management is efficient and friendly. All of my needs were addressed immediately. Our room was cleaned daily and smelled so fresh after the cleaning! The prices were affordable and the location is phenomenal. Its close to downtown, shopping, museums. I definitely recommend this motel, to all travelers visiting Charlotte.
