I booked this room for my husband and 3 boys to stay after the steelers/panthers preseason game. The pictures will fool you! After arriving after the game my husband called me and said this place is horrible we just seen 2 cockroaches on the bed. My 8 year old told my husband i just cant sleep with bugs, i want to go home. My husband went to the front and they told him he would have to call the manager the next day. Well my husband and children refused to stay and drove 3 hours home. After calling the manager the next day we were told they had sprayed for cockroaches and have had no other complaints. Refused to give us a refund and they stayed long enough to see nastiness and bugs

My friend made a reservation here to stay for one night. When we arrived there was dirt on the floor and the place was very out of date. We were given our key and went to the room. It appeared that there was dried blood or some other reddish substance on the bedspread on one of the beds. The hotel pool- which was outside the sliding door of the room- had peeling paint and dead plants. There was a sign on the front about the hotel being a "Crime Watch Hotel".
We tried to get my girlfriend's credit card charge reversed- since we were leaving and they said call the manager. After 2 days of trying-- still no response from the manager. You are better off sleeping in your car!

This hotel clearly hasn't been updated since the 80's, but the price can't be beat. It's only like a mile from downtown and less than half the price of the downtown hotels. They have large rooms with 3 double beds, which works out great if you are traveling with a group of friends. The breakfast was lacking (cereal, bagels, & ho-ho's), but it's free. The staff was excellent; very friendly and accommodating. We had a great time at the Rodeway Inn.

The TV in our room had horrible color. We tried to adjust the contrast, etc., but nothing worked. The cable was also very fuzzy.

The hotel is in somewhat of a shady area. It was evident by the crime watch sign posted on the premises.

There was also a ragged-looking ironing board, but no iron...

We don't think they offered breakfast, but if they did, I'm sure it wasn't worth eating.

There is also a closed down restaurant attached to the hotel.

Basically, if you're looking for a cheap, cruddy hotel, this is the place for you.
