Our flight was cancelled so I called Hotels.com & bked 1 nite for husband, 18 yr old daughter & myself. I cleared this with reservation agt for 2 double beds. This hotel was having a sale. The hotel charged us extra $11 for daughters stay, but the way it was presented was, so you're here, we already pick-up, there's a storm, you're stranded, and this is what you need to pay. So, okay. Now the room smelled so bad, like comforters never washed, and the towels smelled bad and unsanitized. We could not open the window,of course, so it was suffocating in that smell all night. The bathrm was decent but their toiletries was from some third world country like India or something. It was made from some cheap coconut oil, the markings on the wrapper showed it all. I kept the wrapper to check it out later but somehow misplaced it. Never bothered to try what's in those little toiletries jars. The coffee was coffee, but doughtnuts (all there was) was old. I figured it was still early, & there's a storm , but no, that's all that they serve. I would never stay here again even if my flight gets cancelled. There are other hotels you can call from the airport courtesy phone board and you can ask for rates for distressed passengers. Almost all of them pick up from the airport, you can talk to the front desk and clarify everything, even what time the earliest shuttle drops off back to the airport the next day for you flight. Of course, hotels.com does not know anything.
