Have stayed with ramada inn many times at this location due to friends living in the charlotte area second time i have stayed third time i have stayed with you since days inn has taken over not a vary pleasent experience first room had no refrigerator so we were moved to a second room that had some very strong odor like something was soured possibly the drain on the air conditioner it was 93 degrees when we arrived so we decided to go for a swim while the room cooled down only to find it was closed the remote was broken for the television no iron was in the room here was magic marker drawn on the walls but the most irratating thing was at 8 am on a sunday morning an employee blew the breezeways and stairways with a gas powered leaf blower for 20 minutes and when i called front desk to complain she called me back to inform me the manager wasnt returning her calls or text i contacted days inn on monday was informed the manager wasnt in so on tuesday i spoke with the manager whos arrogance was less than appealing he informed pool was closed for season his employees started work at 8 blowing the sidewalks were part of there job and the price increase was for the new air conditioners that were installed in the rooms i stayed in that motel between twenty five and thirty times in the past year never to have had a problem and this is the new and improved days inn i think not

We were in Charlotte for the Coca Cola 600. Stayed from May 25 to May 31. Older hotel but room was clean. Had fridge and microwave. Hotel staff was great. I needed to print tickets to the Nascar Hall of Fame and they took down the firewall on the computer so I could load the program I needed to print the tickets. I am sure alot of people wouldn't think it was the best neighborhood but we went to the grocery store, laundry mat, Shoneys, the Dollar Store and you couldn't ask for more friendly people. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. If you stay anywhere in Charlotte and need a cab call Royal Cab. We made friends with one of the drivers and she took very good care of us while we were there.

We were given an airline voucher to stay here as our flight was cancelled. It was after midnight when we arrived so we did not make an effort to change but would have liked to have done so. The room did not smell clean (very musty) and the air cooling system was beyond loud. Bathtub had a ring of mold. The young man that drove the shuttle bus was very agreeable and we did appreciate that. I did check for bedbugs but fortunately did not find any.

The first room we were assigned smell so bad that there was no way we could stay there. The second room smelled fine but when I pulled back the sheets, they were dirty. The third room was fine. The carpets are VERY dirty. I would not step on them barefoot and when my son walked on them with his socks, they became filthy pretty quickly. It is certainly a basic hotel but I was not comfortable with the area based on how it looked. I do have to say the front desk person was very good about switching rooms though.


The hotel's restaurant was under construction but they had a sign that said you could let them know if you want something and they would call the cook. I found this very odd and certainly did not feel that was a way to handle it. I was going to order something but for about 15 minutes the desk was unattended so we just left.

When we checked out in the morning, I had to ask specifically for a receipt. After I made it to the airport and I checked it, they hadn't even officially checked me out of the room as it said on the receipt the cost was still owing. This made me very paranoid and I am still waiting to see if I get charged more than once.
