I think this hotel is the best. As it was my first time to Charlotte, I was nervous to be there by myself but once I met the front desk staff I knew I was not alone. I stayed for 3 nights and found the staff to be pleasant, professional and very helpful. They helped me navigate their lovely city. I happen to pass the GM on my way to breakfast the first morning there and I guess she could sense my apprehension of being there alone that she sat and chatted with me for a minute which put me at ease. The breakfast was awesome and the rooms were spacious and very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

I along with my sister and brother stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, Arrowood on my first visit to Charlotte. Our stay from start to finish was very pleasant. The front desk staff was very nice and easy to talk to. If we had any questions, they didn't hesitate to help us out. Also the rooms were VERY CLEAN and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hot breakfast, which had a lot of options to choose from, was aslo a plus.

Although there wasn't a lot to do around the hotel itself, it wasn't hard to find restaurants and malls. Also, downtown Charlotte was only a 10/15 minute drive.

All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. Definintely would recommned this hotel to anyone visiting the Charlotte area.

I think this hotel is the greatest. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. They were so friendly and wanting to make my stay there pleasant. I loved the breakfast and the pool area was very clean. The GM was at the desk one morning and she even asked if everything was ok and when I stammered with an answer she was so willing to correct any problem. I will be staying here when I come back to Charlotte again.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights as part of our "States of Independence" tour. We chose this hotel for 2 reasons. One, it was only a short drive to Carowinds theme park and two, we needed easy access by public transport into Charlotte for a concert at the Time Warner Cable Arena.
When we checked in we told the manageress why we were visiting the area, and she informed us that she thought the Taylor Swift concert had been cancelled. She then looked up on the internet and then even phoned the venue to confirm and found out how we could go about getting a refund on our tickets. This service was above and beyond the expected. Throughout our short stay all the staff were very courtious and professional.

Our room was large and very clean and comfortable, and all the ammenites are what you would expect from a Holiday Inn.
Breakfast is included and is a typically Holiday Inn Express "start" breakfast, including hot freshly cooked cinnamon rolls, egg, bacon / sausages and grits (still can't eat these !!), cereals including froot loops (hell yeah !!) make your own pancake machine, bagels and breads and juice and coffee - plenty to set you up for the day.
The location for us was ideal, but there is very little in the area of the hotel. Access into Downtown Charlotte was easy by Public transport - bus 56 stops outside the hotel and takes you to Arrowood station, where the Lynx light railway takes you to the heart of the city.
You can also purchase discount admission tickets to Carowinds, home of the AWESOME Intimidator roller coaster, which is highly recommended.
