Very smooth chcek-in. Always stay here when doing business or traveling through the area. Nice people on staff and always have a nice room or suite ready for me which I appreciate. Location is great if you don't mind parking and walking across bust Woodlawn Road to catch the light rail to downtown. Neighborhood seems to be inner-suburb location which is fine but others may not like these particular areas. If you like BBQ you have to walk over to McCoys, great food and neighborhood type bar. I look forward to returning here in a few months.

I have stayed here several times. This hotel is clean with good service. However it is a older hotel with small rooms and a noisy airconditioner and heater that is inadequate to set a temperature you feel comfortable with. It cuts off and on and blows onto the bed area. I could not stream video on my computer in my room. There was no charge for the internet but the signal is weak. There is a charge for any breakfast . There ia a business room with printers and computers. There is a gym room with machines.

A Sheridan Hotel and you'd think simply by the name you were in for a treat right? Not in room 528 at this location! and in this room the door didn't meet the door frame! I could see the hall clearly through the gap between the door and the frame! Too tired to complain to move to another room I put the ironing board up to cover the gap. The noise from the ice machine down the hall was horrible. People talking in the hall and waking me up. You'd think, again not here, the sound proofing could use a lot of work. Other than all that the room looked beautiful. The bed was a little used at the edges and sloped. The coffee machine was interesting and only offered two creams and one regular cup of coffee and one decaf then the machine leaked.

Stayed here for my birthday weekend in Charlotte. Not a bad location because its right next to the light rail that takes you downtown and there are plenty of food options in the vicinity. Burlington Coat Factory and TJ Maxx nearby just in case you need to pick up some clothing items.

Cons:

The room was the size of a cardboard box and looked very dated. The bed was very wobbly and actually collapsed on one side during the night. When I went to put the bed back on the frame, I found that maintenance had tried to screw the rubber leg into a wooden block and the screw had broken from the wooden block, and had fallen off. The rubber leg had already been broken before and this was their idea of a "quick fix" Instead of buying a $50 bed frame, they would rather risk the safety of their guest by jimmy rigging plastic to wood by way of a screw...now that's just plain being cheap. I notified the person at the front desk the next morning and she apologized and stated that she would have her GM call me the following day (since I was checking out on a Sunday). Guess what, no call from the GM yet.

If you choose to stay here, make sure you look under the bed before laying on it and allowing it to collapse on you.
